Hi,
I am interested in knowing which Pilot has influenced you the most during your time playing eve. You may include an alternate if you so wish but no more than 2 total please. The Influence is not restricted to ingame.

Surprisingly CCP Shadow has influenced my game play the most. Before we were working together at CCP and even now he has had a lot influence over my skill plans. His suggestions have always been fun and activities I enjoy doing.

That guy who made EFT (and whoever made quickfit) - It's not "Play through a pre-set story, become stronger, do endgame". Gameplay is open ended, and you make your own story. Unless you're too afraid of 'pvp grief' to do anything relevant |

Pilot that's most influenced me as a player in EVE, I honestly can't think of any single one, Corp wise though i'd say Sybrite inc. as one of there targets, the learning curve they provided me with as a nub in lowsec back in 07' was without doubt the best learning curve within a game there was, I got to experience the meta-game early on, and learn safe-spotting, intel gathering, agro mechanics and eula bending.
But in influencing my travels around EVE since 07, Animaul, RL mate, and always provided much lulz for those of us that followed him about just to see him lose expensive toys.

Gripen (for EFT)
Blanco Padre, an unknown to most I'm sure, but he got me into my first corp and had a lot of fun over the years with him. He's mostly inactive now though.
VETO (who I'm sure don't remember me) but knowing they were on the prowl while down in Mormelot refueling the POS was always tense and a bit of fun.

Hmmm
I am yet to be influenced by anyone WTF I usually get inspired very quick and pick a role model but man I so dont have an inspiration.
Also this thread and the other research ones are awfully familiar :P
But for the sake of things I would probably say CO2 for the sake of not taking **** from NC anymore and actually having the balls to reset them so in other words having the balls to reset 50% of 0.0 --

Yeah, good times :)
For me it's the merc coalition. Both from hearing about all the cool **** they did, and being in fights with them when they anti-pirated on their off-contract periods.

While many people have helped me on my road to being a better player spanning corporations such as Goodfellows, United Trade Corp, and now the Black Cartel, the name that sticks out at the top of the list is a pilot I never talked to. He is a pilot who, through his creative writings, shared his exploits with the denizens of the CnP forums. They sparked my imagination and helped shape the image that I have of Eve being a place where a pilot's destiny is in their own hands to succede or fail.

Sheal'c - got me into Eve/Corp (my mentor) Turns out I've evolved into a very similar player despite him leaving over 2 years ago. Akixeta Petain - level headed intellectual both in game and in the academic community. PvP risk assessment/management Gau Kushman - ingame bloodlust and source of enthusiasm and optimism. and Oblivione - how to play in hostile 0.0 like you owned it
2008 was a good year.
I could list bigger names, but I think it's the personal ones that make the real differences in how you play/view the game.

Tough ones...
Those who influenced me the most:
- Kilhu Emmek, CEO of my corporation. He's the one who goaded me into running for CSM. I thought I wouldn't stand a chance, being in a 3 member corporation, no matter how knowldgeable/sensible I was. Yet he kept saying I should, and I eventually did to prove him wrong. Turns out he was right.
- Foundati0n alliance in general, and Lord Maldoror, Linkeleo, Jackaryas, g0rg0n and Anubis Hothyck in particular. For giving me the chance to play in 0.0, toy with moon mining and learn to PvP. Most of which later invited me in my current alliance (Rooks and Kings)
- The hundreds of people I had convos with during election times, each with their own ideas about what the game was to them. There's so many people with different views of what the game is to them that it comforted me in my opinion that all points of view need to be taken into account when discussing things in the CSM.
