So they can be utilised by smaller entities versus larger ones. You can still probe them out and take them out of the fight that way. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.com/ ~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

Its remarkable how cyclical the whining on this forum is. One day its miners being ganked, the next its goons, the next its technitium, then its command ships.
Command ships are slow, poorly maneuvering ships that need to sacrifice survivability to their jobs on top of having a huge signature radius. If they were on grid they would die almost immediately. I'm sure you wouldn't have any difficultly probing them out given their massive signatures.
Neutral warfare link ships on the other hand are annoying in highsec warfare. It would be nice if they were flagged as aggressive if they turn on their links while in a fleet with members who are involved in a war. You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world. |

No, fleet commanders are typically on the battlefield with their fleet and in the thick of it with everyone else. |

Should really be allowed to run Gang Links inside a pos imo either. |

Why not include a proteus to boost the falcons?

You can't boost from inside a station, or from another system. The grid is not the battlefield.
Not saying I agree with off-grid boosting, I welcomed happily the destruction of unprobable T3's. But your argument is unfortunately not sound. |

there are 2 basic types of command ship... the Fleet Command (the big Booster) and the Field command(the big damage). just depends on the play style of the people your going against or are with. |

They're for lame-ass pricks that think 'solo' pvp using a combat ship, an offgrid booster and a falcon alt makes them 'super-elite' and it should be fixed.
It's not so much of a problem with CS as they can indeed be probed rather easily, but T3 boosters can still be fitted to be close to unprobable by anything but a specialized character with a virtue set - and even then, hitting D-scan every now and then and warping to the next spot as soon as probes appear within a certain vicinity isn't exactly hard.
Due to grid-FU, best way to fix it would be to make them just work like heavy dictor bubbles within e.g. 150 km range.
Oh - and boosting from within pos shields has to go - even if they're on-grid. You know... morons. |

In the modern battlefield, why are the AWACS, J-STARS, and GLOBAL HAWK aircraft not on the front line? That is how I view this concern(whine). There is nothing stopping a group from scanning down and going after these ships, just as there is nothing stopping a modern enemy from trying to kill the command and control assets that are out of 'rifle range'. If I tried to make a type of coffee that made all of you happy, and you rated it, the group score for it would be about 60 out of 100. Break into 3 or 4 coffee clusters, and made coffee just for each cluster, the scores would go from 60 to 78. The difference between coffee at 60 and coffee at 78 is a difference between coffee that makes you wince or makes you happy. |

So, what most of you are saying is that having very little risk for boosting ships is ok ?
The bonus they give is minimal ? To the point where using one is not worth the monthsssss of training?
They are soooooo weak that, in truth, no one ever uses any of those ships ?
You may want to explain things by saying that commanders do not show up on field, but i think the main argument is not role playing, it's risk VS reward. |
