How the **** should the second room be possible? No drones, very small targets that are VERY hard to hit without drones.
Any advice?

A long ,long time ago, when I had crap skills and was a noob, I was scared to open fire on anything in the 2nd pocket of Sansha WC (Sansha side of Sansha/Angel that is). So what did I do... I slowboated upward (while webbed to hell) until I was 40kms away from everything
Then I just killed the little bastards and kited the rest of the pocket.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. EVE has devs that care about sound? (Ha ha ha! Gotcha. It actually doesn't!) |

If it works the same as the serp/guristas WC, you can jump in, get full room aggro, and immediately jump out. Head back in, and only one group should aggro you. Need to be careful with drones, but it should pose no serious problem.

Depends which version we're talking about.
In most cases, you actually can deploy drones as long as they don't travel too far and/or attack the trigger ships. The problem is that this mainly leaves sentries as your only choice, which leads back to Miriiah's suggestion: shoot the large targets first – the small crap is rather harmless anyway. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

but theres mainly frigs in the first group.
Is the trick to just kill the first group (slow as hell) without drones and then go for the other two groups?

Varies with the ship. Since I tend to do it in drone ships, my general tactic is to nuke everything cruiser-sized and up in the first group using sentries, leave the frigs (since they're mainly there to make you an easy target for everything else – not to hurt you by themselves), and then aggro the other groups one after another and leave the small stuff until last. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

but to do that you must have a godly tank?

As long as you don't take on too many groups at once and have enough DPS, it's not that bad – the trick is to get rid of the heavy hitters quickly. Now, granted, I fly cruiser and BC-sized ships so I already get hit less and/or for lower damage, but at any rate, WC is very susceptible to "DPS-tanking" – you're not taking any damage if everything around you is dead… ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

There are 3 groups of rats in 2nd pocket of wc. Each can be engaged separately, without aggroing other npcs.
You dont need special tank, just be carefull with agro and your ok /check eve survival/.

There is a trick to kill the two spys before killing anything else,
* Send your drones after one of them, watch how all other ships in the pocket attack one of your drones (the first drone that shoots at it). * Pull the drone that got aggro back. * Watch how the other 4 drones kill the target without any problems. * Repeat on the second spy.
I have only ever done the Sansha/Angel version so it might not work on the other ones but it's worth a try.

What I always do is set my drones to passive. I attack the battleships in the first group, using drones on them, then pull them back. At that point I engage group two, again manually sending my drones after targets, and pull them back when the group is dead. When I start on group three, I just set my drones on the spies because aggro doesn't matter anymore at that point. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

First option is to slowboat, otherwise you can use missiles, target painters and webifiers to your advantage.
The multiplayer version is to send the tank in, then send the speedboat sniper in. Sniper heads to about 80km range, aggros the whole room, everyone shoots big stuff first. Then the tank heads to the third room, heads to range from the gate and orbits while the sniper slowboats to the gate in the second room, warps in and snipes from the warp in point.
More people need to explore the "multiplayer" side of MMOs.

Do we tak about the same mission? In my memory I had to rescue some crew from a disabled ship (in fact a can). To do this you have to kill at least the group that auto-agro in 3rd stage.
And yes, WC:4 can be a *****. But it's one of the most valuable missions. I just kill BS/BS and Cruisersize and when i agro last group is send my drones after that pesky frigs. I use a CNR, Navy Mega or Paladin for this most with plain T2 tank, depends on mission (Angel/Bloodraider or Gurista/Serperntis for my agents).

I guess not, I looked at eve-survival and there isn't it there. Id to WC for pirate factions and I have mercenary and slaver(amar) parts, I guess it is different because if I have card I go to slavers part, kill overssier and webing frigates, AB to gate, jump and kill small armory or something like that, and it is over

1) set drones to passive 2) launch drones, and send them against anything that is aggroed and not named "something spy" 3) ???? 4) profit!
never had a problem with drone aggro if they don't go for the spies. You're posting again!? Has it really been 5 mins?

As soon as you jump in shoot the spies (with turrets or whatever, not drones!) then your drones won't get aggro :)

Not sure which one you did. But here is the Blood Raider/Angel Cartel one. You can figure out for yourself how to get to the other ones: The Mission ************************************************* I have three characters. One has Cov Ops V along with all the bells and whistles that goes with it. |

Drones are very safe in WC4 - just get yourself some real drones vs ones that get shot up.
Sentry drones. Deploy them outside the range of the 1st pocket, shoot and kill everything without either the ship nor your drones taking a scratch.
2nd pockets, dont shoot with your drones anything with word 'spy' in frigate size. Passive works well for this. Garde sentries take out the close ceruiser->battleships with ease and em/kin/explo sentries will take out anything with larger orbits that garde doesn't quite reach. Shooting an overseer can also agro the pocket, so leave the overseer till later also. Take drones off passive when get to last group of battleships, clean up the frigates with some small drones like hobgoblins (even if not therm weak, hobs will still chew them up)
3rd pocket nolonger can have all 3 groups agro (version I do). I have confirmed this by flying right next to ships in all 3 groups and 1 group will not agro even at point blank range. Back away from the non-agro'd ships before you shoot back (about 8-14km) and then when you shoot you wont get agro from the proximity of all 3 groups. They also reduced the numbers of battleship from what it used to be in the 3rd pocket so full pocket agro not really a problem.

No drones? That has to be fixed so get drones. Drones are an absolute must for mission running.
Alot of people say never mix your guns. I say mix them!
I use 3 425mm railguns and 4 250mm railguns
the smaller ones just sorta help the drones but also pack a great punch to battleships.
This is all down to certain player skills of course.
Also always stay on 1 pocket of enemies! if not the DPS might overwhelm you.
Hope this helps :)

The answer is a varied and complex one.
Generaly I use a Vargor on this mission and do both sides before handing it in. I also use 800mm Autos so range is never a big deal. That being said I always take out the big hitters first then use drones to clean up the small stuff once BC/BS are destroyed.
Just my 2.5 cents worth.

Drones only get aggro if they attack the spies..
-> Tank the spies until the end and use the drones to kill everything else.

Dock, fit anti-frigate weaponry, head to the second room and kill the frigates in one volley. Redock.
This is what saved-fittings are for. It takes less time for me to dock, refit for standard missiles, undock, and kill the frigates than it does tanking the entire room under webs. ---------
