Edited by: Jokiller Gerius on 01/12/2009 20:18:36 one thing i have noticed is that if there is only 2 people in a fleet and one drops out you lose the advert which could be bad if there is a corp op going on with only 2 people and one leaves before any others turn up

The black-box with text on mouse over is very intrusive. It is bloody everywhere.
Can't seem to find any way to toggle it off
No BPC offers for the new navy shinys?
Otherwise looks good, backdrop is gorgeous now, much more "spacey" .

Broadcast range is set to "My Group" by default. This is the polar opposite of how broadcasts worked pre-dom, as need armor/need cap/need shield were sent to everyone in the fleet.
What this means is that this new feature does not work as expected. I'd love to see this changes to "Everyone" by default asap.
Explaining how to change broadcast range for people who haven't been closely following the new fleet tools gets tiresome after a while. Very. ----------------------------------------------

Edited by: Astria Tiphareth on 01/12/2009 20:43:48 Firstly thanks for a great patch and great patch experience! Some interesting new changes to have a look at. The new starfields & planets look great; I like the new slightly more subtle changes like the new browser, mail system (and mailing lists!) & context menu additions like Hide Route. I am already loving the fleet finder.
The first thing that immediately struck me was the new UI. I find the new font (where it's used, e.g. hover over the wallet or character button) much harder on the old eyes, especially news items in the militia office view. The change in progress bar was a bit jarring (not sure what was wrong with the old faux-3D bar) but I can live with that. The remainder of the 'squarer, flatter' changes are subtle enough that I am not noticing much of a difference.
A minor quibble would be that whilst a sovereignty report on the status of the Amarr Empire's hold over Niarja is interesting, it's perhaps less than useful - having the link accessible only in areas where sovereignty actually changes would be nice - but by no means important.
I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, but it's not at all clear what a label is for in the mail system or why I'd create one...
EVE didn't fail to patch & hasn't crashed yet, which by itself makes me happy
Edit: Oh and I may well be being completely blind/stupid, but the new enhanced jukebox looks just like the old one - how exactly do I use the new features e.g. custom playlists? ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... right-click on the jukebox icon in the Neocom -> open playlist -> type in the music location. By default, it is:

Jukebox feedback:
In a future patch (VERY soon), please allow the option to reload up the "default" Eve music playlist from the popup on the jukebox. Once you select a directory/playlist, you lose the path for the Eve music. Perhaps make it so that it "remembers" the various loaded playlists and you can select one from a selection box, much like how the jukebox functions. -----

Amazing job guys. Thus far would be the smoothest patch I have seen to date.
My one issue is that in the previous version there was a Screen resolution available at 1920 x 1080 which I loved as is the native resolution on my monitor. I am running a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 video card in dual monitor mode. I was able to "find" this resolution again by switching the game from one dispay driver to the other (appears to treat each output of the video card as a seperate video card). Upon clicking apply it worked by reverting back to my 1920 x 1080 display resolution but in the menu screen said it was x The game crashed after about 15 minutes though don't know if this was related. I'm really hoping you enable honest to god support of this resolution again.
Thanks again for the smooth rollout and a great game for all these years.

From the new text on DD's...
"Notes: You will be immobile for 30 seconds after firing this weapon. You will be unable to activate your jump drive or cloaking device for ten minutes after firing this weapon."

One thing I really must protest is that corp mails and alliance mails show up in your inbox. I'd like to keep them separated to avoid clutter and confusion... Plus, I don't want to delete the wrong evemail by mistake. ____________________ CCP: Catering to the cowards of a cold, harsh universe since November, 2006. |

well every exiting ship change that was promised to us was either tossed in the bin or perverted until it more closely resembled a nerf than a lateral change but hey the ugly textured spheres have been replaced by marginally less ugly textured spheres and im easily impressed by purposeless colored baubles thanks ccp!!!

The new gold-colored 'Sovereignty' link in the info panel (top-left corner) could be toned down (or removed), it doesn't fit in with the rest of the interface. The only 'gold' I should be seeing outside of NEOCOM is my cap level. Maybe move this onto a button on the NEOCOM or perhaps put it on the map view.
The new evemail icon doesn't really fit the style of the old icons, it isn't the right style or color, so it looks out of place. It's got that kind-of shiny/glassy look to it, and none of the other icons do. Plus, there's no shadow.
The station buttons need to be smaller! If I wanted to look at some dinky buttons that are bigger than my ship then I'd screencap it and blow it up in the GIMP or something. They're not there for decoration but to serve a purpose, so they shouldn't be any bigger than the NEOCOM buttons on the other side of the screen.

IT Onlining a jammer in a system they only had sov1 in.
Any chance i can dock my titan so I can get full insurance before i self destruct it?
This is my feedback. Very poor quality control, rushed rollout. 4/10 could(should) do better.
