OFFICIAL CVA STATEMENT
I can confirm that CVA was folded and yes we are almost 100% sure it is an account hack for a variety of reasons:
1) We have contacted the relevant player out of game (we have 'real life' contact with him) and he is denying that he did this.
2) The account owner is late US TZ - the disbandment and robbery occurred in early Euro-TZ
3) When the 'hacker' logged in he was only in the basic channels and none of the usual channels that this member is in, indicating that he logged in from a different EVE client.
Of course he could be lieing to us but the member in question is, as far as we were aware, a loyal member of the executor corp and the CVA for over three years. There was no indication what-so-ever that he was in any way disillusioned with our mission and is indeed one of our more active and effective PvPers.
We do not believe that he would have done this. However, as with Haargoth - you can never be definitively sure - so yes - at this stage it is possible that it is simply a betrayal.
Nevertheless we are of the firm belief that this has to be a hack and we have asked CCP to investigate. No doubt all will be revealed in due course.
Obviously it sucks to be us right now and there is no doubt that this is going to cause disruption. However CVA is nothing if not resilient and we will prevail despite the obstacles that will probably be thrown in our way...

You can believe what you want to believe... and as I stated above - yes there is a possibility, slim though it is that this is a legitimate in game 'spy/betrayal' situation. If it is we will deal with it. However all the evidence that has been collected so far indicates that this is a hacking. We have asked CCP to investigate and petitions have been filed. That is all... ----- Alliance Creation/Corp Expansion Services

Originally by: Boppi CCP has reacted to CVAs petition, the official answer is in their internal forums. CVA will be restored before downtime.
While this is what we have been led to believe it would be unwise of us (or anyone) to count any chickens at this stage.
Whether the 'restore' happens or not I would from a personal perspective like to thank everyone who has expressed their support either in these forums, other forums or in game. It is sometimes hard to be enthused about RPing 'Amarrian space police' particularly when confronted with a never ending stream of diplomatic headaches and whinage, so it is really cool to see that some people actually appreciate what CVA has tried to build in Provi (even if from our perspective some of it is for the wrong reasons - 'you are good target practice'
Anyway, while I know this is CAOD (and as such this is kind of a stupid request), I would suggest people dial down the speculation for a bit. We will make another statement when we are 100% sure on what has happened and what CCP is (or isnt) doing to correct things.
Thanks. ----- Alliance Creation/Corp Expansion Services

I can confirm that CVA lives again... possibility of some issues with the restore (i.e. we only seem to have existed one day) but in general everything looks like it should.
Yes it was a hack. That was confirmed by CCP who took the appropriate action albeit much more swiftly than I (and many in the alliance) expected. So our gratitude to them for getting on the case so quickly!
We will make a more detailed comment on this whole 'event' at some point in the near future but I would just like to reiterate my thanks to all who 'supported' us in this - often from unusual/unlikely directions. ----- Alliance Creation/Corp Expansion Services

Oh? From what I am looking at you're the second oldest alliance and have existed since 2004.11.30. As it should be, no?
Anyway, I'm glad to see there was a just resolution of this nonsense.
Cosmo
It seems that all the corps only show a membership of one day. That is possibly because we rapidly formed a holding alliance and former member corps applied to it. However that is a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things and to be honest we were preparing for a restore timeframe of weeks rather than within 24hrs... so well played CCP... ----- Alliance Creation/Corp Expansion Services

For the record:
Quote: I am sorry if my original post was unclear on this subject, the account was hacked by an ISK seller but I did not intend to insinuate that it was hacked because the account owner was purchasing ISK. There are many ways to get hacked, of course you may be using a weak password or you may use the login credentials for EVE on a third party website and so on. You can also be the victim of a keylogger.
