Edited by: Jhagiti Tyran on 07/08/2009 02:21:59 Ive always found this fit to be useful:-
5x T2 Heavy launchers 1x offline heatsink
10MN MWD T2 Sensor booster (carry both scripts) Gravitr ECCM or Target painter T2 EM Hardener Large sheild extender
3x T2 Ballistic control systems Damage control II
For rigs you can either go with missile velocity rigs or shield rigs, use the ECCM if you expecting to face ECM ships or the TP if your expecting fast HACs or small ships.

What he said basically. This is what I used most often though, as extreme range missile sniping is just fail outside of very few circumstances, and the things too expensive to be flying around with almost no tank.

HAM Cerb is 440 dps out to 45 (CN Terror Assaults, lvl 5's) and you get no benefit from your best support skills.
HML Cerb is 395 dps ((Navy Scourge, all lvl 5's) out to as far as you want and can hit smaller and faster stuff harder than HAMS can. Unless of course you gimp your tank enough to drop the RCU and fit that 3rd BCU...
TANK AND CERB IN SAME SENTENCE...DOES NOT COMPUTE. USE HAMS, HML IS FAIL FOR PVP.

You're an idiot. The cerb's tank is its range. With hams you're basically a ****ty drake that costs 3 times as much.

I was using Navy ammo, the t2 stuff for HAMS has a ridiculous explosion velocity and radii. Maybe against a mass tackled BS with MWD on and extenders it might not be too bad I guess.

F**cked up t2 ammo sig penalty is still an issue, specially for a 150? mil isk medium range ship that will be using MWD a lot and has little tank.
I suppose it could make a niche gank fit, but I sure as hell wouldnt call it a gang fit tbh.

Rage HAMs have explosion radius of 180 m, T1/CN have 125 m. So, yeah, Rage is considerably more and it doesn't make sense to use vs. cruisers... but battlecruisers, even a Hurricane are fat and have really big sigs - 240 m for Hurricane.
Ah, sorry, my model was a trimarked Hurricane which isn't particularly realistic. Let's see...
Trimarked base speed Hurricane - 182 m/s - 100% damage Unfitted (lol) Hurricane - 206 m/s - 91% damage Shield-rigged nanoCane - 244 m/s, sig 327 m - 100% damage Ambit-rigged nanoCane - 244 m/s, sig 290 m - 93% damage
Rage is generally ok than, as long as you have TNP V. But i'm not a great fan of HAM Cerb anyway, as I mentioned above.

great anti support / more dps ship
keep kin and Em fof's CN Em and kin, Tech 1, Em and Kin, and Rage Em and Kin.
if a falcon decloaks, overload launchers,ECCM and MWD and n burn towards him at max speed. you get a rather impressive damage over a short space of time. works great if you have warp points in a line, managed to get 3 volleys to hit a falcon at once, that scared him.... lol
if you get jammed, switch to Fof's and continue.
designed to sit out at 50-100km

Does the Cerb get the same AML bonus as the Caracal and its not listed or does it not need it? Bene Gesserit is recruiting. |

10% bonus to Light, Heavy Assault, and Heavy missile flight time and 5% bonus to Missile Launcher rate of fire per HAC level.
Cruisers bonuses are as Caracal.
I have a setup -- that's not that creative at all -- able to fling non-precision standards past targeting range. And it does indeed eat frigs alive.

Seriosly, if you want to use hams, fly drake. Or tengu... Ham cerb doesnt have any buffer and ham onyx lacks dps and isnt very capstable.
