Can we please have pilot death statistics grouped by the first letter in the pilots name?
Number: % of deaths A: % of deaths B: % of deaths
... and Number: % of names A: % of names B: % of names
Yes, this is a part of my campaign against the name column in the overview. It is a discriminatory game mechanic for pilots that are early in the alphabet. . |

There is some scaling involved here, your fleet and the opponents needs to be big enough for alphabetical ordering to be tactically more sound than going by ship types.
As for the dreads... they all go down about as easily as the next one if you have the numbers to shoot one down by force of numbers. Their EHPs are about the same. So there isn't much point in going by ship type when shooting dreads... Well, except if you are sniping you can just ignore Phoenixes. . |

discriminating by ship types is fine. Thats good battle tactics. Discriminating players by their name is not.
Some say its not good battle tactic just to go by names, but once you hit a certain critical mass the ship types you call out don't really matter all that much
Anyway, for dreads for example... their EHPs arent that different on a "normal" day. Sure, if your name is A** you can buffer a few extra hundred HPs but thats gonna be what, 30 extra seconds survived.
So if those extra 30 seconds matter then someone picks up the hint and starts reverse alphabet primary calling to get past the extra buffer tanked A** guys... meaning you still have the same problem as before...
All in all the name in the overview is a broken game mechanic and should be removed. I know that currently it is the "only" method to call for targets on voice comms ... so to solve that problem make the broadcast system better.
Dedicated broadcast window for primaries, secondaries ... target calling in general
Dedicated broadcast window for logistics...
