Looks very promising, however, if i open a category inside skill planning, i cannot close it, and thus not add any other skill from another category. ----------------- Yay!! |

I usually only use time till skill finishes on short skills ( 5 days >) But on those longer skills like 25 days and above, I usually use time to finish. Don't know if it was that you emant, but if it ain't too much work, simply add them both and make it an option to 1 show date only 2 show time left only 3 show them both. ----------------- Yay!! |

Edited by: Dansel on 13/08/2009 10:10:01 and tbh, you need a better name on the app :P You should host a name competition, 10 mil to the winner or something ----------------- Yay!! |

Well, If you won't host a name competition, I will sponsor you with 10 mil to do one :P (If you really don't want to, I won't)
Post your suggestions, and the one flammard picks i will send 10 mil isk, incase he doesnt pick one, noone gets anything, except maybe flammard for a good app and great work ----------------- Yay!! |

Edited by: Dansel on 14/08/2009 12:11:22 Also, you should make the reload button relaod all the characters at once, instead of having to press it once for ever character you have
EDIT: preferable automatically at launch, but it's just for comfort ----------------- Yay!! |

You remember those 3 empty buttons on the skill planner you removed? How about setting those to: All Known Not Known
and toggling the display of skills there after. saves you the problem of browsing through like 100 science skills for example ----------------- Yay!! |

The new Icons look great, although In the overview, could you make the names clickable? It's just a lil thingy that might be useful, but don't really prioritize it :P And also, I forgot to mention earlier, the skillque only updates when I refresh, So time remaining could be 4 days, but the skillque showing 4 days 3 hours because i havn't updated, also only minor, but has confused me sometimes ----------------- Yay!! |

Anyways, If the API includes Certificate information, what about a Certificate browser, where you can use "Add Certificate to plan: (Drop down menu) Plan 1, Plan 2 etc

Originally by: tendao cool app, but can you add evemon import to the todo list? maybe i'm missing something, but the 'new', 'open', 'save', 'save as' menu items are grayed out and i really don't want to manually add my skill plans.
Those new / open / save menu items don't do anything as I have never hooked them up or removed them.
I'll look into an Evemon import mechanism for the release after next.
Awesome. As soon as that's in I can finally stop booting into bootcamp since I have an EFT replacement in pyfa and I can replace Evemon with this app.
Would you mind telling me wher e I can find this "Pyfa"? ----------------- Yay!! |

but you need to install pygtk and other parts to get it to work.
Hmm, ok , would you mind linking me?, I've actually never dealt with Python code before ----------------- Yay!! |

Suggestion:
One of the biggest drawbacks with this app is that it takes up so much screen space, so I usually end up having to close it every time. But What if you enabled something like a minimized mode, where only the Character overview window would be shown. (And when you click at one of them you get this cool Zoooooom effect and then you see the normal window) It's not really necessary but you have to agree, this app does take up some place, and it's somewhat frustrating when you dont have 2x 24" screens to deal with
Also, the drawer seems to suffer the graphical glitch that it wont update as the skill que
And if you que up mulitiple levels of the same skill, they will all show the same level but diffrent time. ----------------- Yay!! |

Ohh and about the Skill information windows... IF it's possible, why not do it EVE style, if you hold shift you get a new window, otherwise it overwrites (and the other way around, should be editable in settings) ----------------- Yay!! |

For the last week or so I have been refactoring a lot of the code to deal with character updates, as it had some problems. I've also been reorganising the source tree and cleaning up a few other problems.
In a couple of days (When the code is semi-stable again) I plan to release it as open source (GPL v3), so if anyone is interested in joining in on development then let me know.
awesome, great work dude! My programming skills fail but i made an attempt on an icon, can publish it later on when i'm somewhat comfortable with it -----------------

I'll throw up a new test version tonight. Functionality wise it isn't much different from the current release, but the internals have been turned on their head. It may have a few crash bugs in it still.
Sounds great, can't wait for the final release :) -----------------

Ok, Just downloaded and noticed a few things already: Skills on skillplans are invisible, but clickable name change o.0
And somethings that'd be cool if implemented: Showinfo on ships in the skillplanner

Seems to work fine for me. One thing that strikes me tho is: No character auto-selected from start, and Still no auto reload upon start.
Otherwise it works great! -----------------

Looks nice, although i didnt quite figure out what the yellow one does. Still no showinfo on ships :(
And by the way, they should really separate sigs from the main post.

Originally by: Rottenator Yeah well .. dunno exactly, no real problem I think. But I was thinking it might be cool to have it as one of those black 'see through' windows.
I might experiment with that in the future, but not now. I don't think it would add all that much.
Making it an option to be toggled on or off in preferences is always good.
Otherwise great updates, show info on ships is great. Something I think could be cool is if you could sort skills by "Trained to V", "In Training (I-IV)" and "Untrained" so that you don't have to browse through all your skills that's already to V. Or something like that. And by the way, they should really separate sigs from the main post.
