Sorry but no, training is good as it is now. By adding this feature the ballance in training will be removed. You just need to remember that not everyone can afford the isk ( even if we're talking about just a few milion isk ). |

To the OP and other proponents of this idea I would say you need realise that eve isnt a WOW clone, calm down and just take it easy, if you feel the need to rush straight to maxing out all your skills then your playing the game wrong, try planning your skills more intelligently so you get maximum benefit over the minimum amount of time. I'm a new player as well and its difficult enough to afford implants so adding another isk sink would make the game into a complete grind for new players. So in conclusion its a very bad idea.

How about no. Learning curve from start is already pretty short.
If you know what you want to fly it takes only few months of training to get a t2 cruiser or so.
Actually making "low level" t1 ships more useful (counting out oh so cleverly cheap t1 haulers) intead of being cannon fodders would help new players more.
GTC's and ISK sellers already have too much impact on game in my opinion. It shouldn't matter in game how much rl money do you have.

Just because someone has more isk doesn't mean they should be able to train faster. Training times should be static except for when implants and varying attributes are considered. |

I'm down. A bunch of idiots flying Cerbs within a week will help my killboard statistics.
OK now to be serious... This game takes months to learn how to play correctly, if not years. There's really no point to being able to fly ****-hot ships during this time, because all you're going to do is lose a lot of ISK and get frustrated and quit.
And TBQFH, you can have just as much fun in a T1 cruiser as you can in any other ship in the game, in fact after 2 1/2 year of playing I still love PvPing in cruisers.
It takes no more than a few months to be proficient at flying a cruiser in combat skillpoint wise, which is conveniently the same amount of time it takes to learn the game.
So, in summary, STFU and stop whining.

I agree. It's going to happen sooner than later anyway. |

Dudes connect the brain. The old players will use this on Heavy Assault V or Carrier V. The new ones on frigate V. When the new ones get to HACs and carriers, they're doubly screwed. |

Because this is basic concept of eve, you are rewarded for TIME not for fat wallet or beeing nolife. Signature graphics that may only contain your character name, corporation logo, corporation or personal slogan or other text that is directly related to your in-game persona, or content directly related to Eve Online. All content must be in good taste.Applebabe |

Edited by: Santiago Fahahrri on 07/06/2009 14:19:56 Players with more out of game $$ buy more isk and buy more "tutoring time"... in game advantage based on out of game situation. No good, and also a potential boost to character farmers (train and sell, train and sell).
By the way, how does one "tutor" a lesson that's being written to your brian via the cybernetic pod link? |

That isn't a nerf when added to the 2x training speed to 1.6m. You can hit that mark in 2-3 weeks. About the same time, if not faster, than the 800k new charater would be able to, and you're more specialized as well, not like before where you were given a broad skill set for your first 800k.
