A question on the statistics provided in the devblog, is there any way to distinguish how the Faction Warfare block splintered its votes across candidates?
I think it is fair to say there is a strong trend of alliance blocks (with their own external infrastructures as opposed to just the EVE forums) backing their respective candidates to certify a lobby seat, but Faction Warfare does stand out in this respect.
Plus, since Faction Warfare is the most clearly visible and vocal niche among EVE subscribers (right after 0.0) it would be really interesting to see a bit of datamining in this regard. As EVE will see more such niches over time, and as such a group does not have similar far reaching independant infrastructures like 0.0 alliance blocks.

Congrats everyone!
When I was in my first month or two of Eve, I took a directional scanning class given by Dierdra Vaal. He was a class act back then, and still is today. Good to see you at the top man!

Congratulations to the Council Members and in particular Dierdra for achieving chairman!
For all the people who voted for me, thank you for once again lending me your support to represent and debate your issues - While I am in the alternate role I look forward to actively participating, for the betterment of the EVE universe, regardless of no voting rights within the council.
Council game on!

only 9% turnout seems not many people really care about the CSM. Congrats though hope you do better than the last ones..seriously

Actually I suspect this has more to do with the fact that there was no announcement in the main (General Discussion) forum that voting had started (although CCP did eventually sticky a player thread about it) and the tiny little link at log-in did not work for many players. Unless you already knew all about the CSM elections and cared quite a lot, it was difficult to vote in this one. ------------------ Ironfleet.com |

With just 186 players from Bulgaria, I would not put to much into a 38% turnout rate unless they were in different alliances.

Congratulations to the player representatives.
A couple of observations:
Statistics for Iceland were curiously missing from the list.
and
I agree with Marlenus that the voting process is inconvenient. It would be sweet to have an in-game voting mechanism.
Looking forward to what the CSM and CCP can accomplish.

Maybe it's because all Icelandic players of EVE, are in fact devs?
And it has already been confirmed in an interview, that CCP is working on making voting possible in-game

Why vote? Check this thread and the "Official" definition of CSM function! Caring about CSM is wasted effort / energy. Call it what it is I'll vote. I refuse to elect those used to issue the company line, mislead, misdirect, . . .
