EVE Online: Apocrypha 1.1 will be deployed on Thursday, 16th April, 2009. Downtime is scheduled to start at 11.00 GMT and is expected to be completed by 16.15 GMT
This patch will fix issues that have been reported following the release of Apocrypha 1.0.2 along with new changes to ECM ships such as the Falcon, Rook, Scorpion and Widow. In addition there are a wide variety of fixes to the skill queue, agents and missions, user interface, localized clients and much more.
Patch Notes are available; updates to the notes may be added should any further items be cleared through the Quality Assurance process. These updates will be highlighted with green text.
Players should ensure that their skill queue is populated with an adequate number of skills to cover the extended downtime.

actually means nothing in most cases since you require industry 1 to install a manufacturing job. The problem was new players were trying to install a blueprint only to be told they need at least industry 1 to install a job so now its a minimum requirement on the blueprints as well.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to supply you all with a new update regarding additions and clarifications to the patch notes.
New additions are:
Tech 3
* The fourth offensive subsystem will allow the fitting of covert ops cloaking devices and the ability to use covert ops jump bridges. * The fourth defensive subsystem will provide a bonus to warfare links. * The fourth propulsion subsystem will provide immunity against non-targeted warp disruption fields, interdictor spheres or anchored bubbles. * The fourth engineering subsystem will give you a bonus to heat damage reduction allowing you to overheat your modules for longer. * the fourth electronic subsystem will provide bonus to equip an expanded probe launcher and gain a 10% scan strength bonus to probes per level.
User Interface
* Every scan result will now get a unique ID allowing you to manage and sort scan results with greater ease. You can now filter this unique ID and ignore all other results when scanning for certain signatures. * It is now possible to bookmark a 100% signature hit remotely via right click in the context menu. In addition, the scanner will remember signatures which were scanned at 100% so that they are not lost on subsequent scans. * The range for scooping items from a wreck or container has been increased from 1500m to 2500m. In addition the scoop range for drones has also been increased to 2500m.
Clarification:
COSMOS sites
I have made enquires to get an update regarding COSMOS plexes which have disappeared and will report back as soon as I hear.
Agility Changes
Agility changes have not made it into this release.
EVE Voice, Mail & Chat
A busy notification message will be displayed when attempting to start a private conversation with a player who is already involved in a private conversation with another player. This change relates to EVE Voice only.
Drones
I have made enquires regarding the status of drones attacking and not switching targets as per the player command. Players have been asking if this means that drones stay idle if your ship is damped or jammed etc. I will update as I know more.
Cyno effect
There is no change in this patch to the graphical effect of cynos.
I will add more updates as they become available so continue leaving questions or queries and we will provide answers as soon as they become available.

Originally by: Astria Tiphareth Unless it's changed back since the test server announcement, you forgot to add this, copied from Game Development Forum, on T3 subsystems:
Originally by: CCP Nozh "Legion Offensive - Convergent Beam Focuser" is being changed into a Khanid subsystem.
A new note has been added:
The "Legion Offensive - Convergent Beam Focuserö subsystem has been renamed to ôLegion Offensive - Assault Optimizationö and now gains a bonus to Heavy assault missile damage and missile launcher rate of fire following a new Khanid focus.

Originally by: Ikar Kaltin With regards to the 5 seconds cloaking delay for the black ops, if this on targetting or recloaking? If its targetting then meh, it was one of the best features about them.

Will we still need to get within 1500m of containers to open them, or has this range been increased to 2500m as well?
Does this change constitute a reduction of the current 3000m scoop range for POS structures?
scooping unanchored structures is the same (2500), interacting with anchored structures such as the corporate hangars or ship maintenance arrays is still 3000m

Sorry if I missed something, do you mean if I can open cans cloaked then?
yes that's possible if you are between 2000 and 2500m. You cannot transfer anything from the container however since you are cloaked.

Originally by: Omega87 Hey Nav or Chron, i'm starting to sound like a broken record here but it really bugs me. I know they're not gonna do anything about the cyno graphics in this patch, but do we know if changing back is at least being considered or not?
Effects overhauls are ongoing by our art teams which could include the cyno effect for example. Cannot say much more than that for now sorry.

I too am curious about the patch note regarding drone command response. The immediately preceding patch note ("When a single drone is attacked and is part of a group set to aggressive and focus fire, the rest of the drones in that group will aggress instead of sitting idle.") seems to strongly imply that drones still attack targets on their own; they just don't split off from the target to which you've assigned them. A little clarification would be great, though.
this was where you had your drones set to aggressive and focus fire and NPCs would attack one of your drones, the rest of the group would not always respond and sit idle whilst the single drone was being attacked. Now they respond and aid their fellow drone kin accordingly.

Originally by: Gneeznow how come the agility changes did not make it into this patch? I thought they were pretty solid as is on the test server, any rough estimate when the era of the instawarping cruisers and below will end?!
The agility changes did not pass certain development stages to be part of the Apocrypha 1.1 release candidate. They will remain on singularity for further testing and possible inclusion in the following patch (cannot give any ETA of when the next patch will be for now sorry).

Originally by: Gokyu Edited by: Gokyu on 16/04/2009 05:19:00 CCP can you please explain the use of aggressive drones after this patch?
Are drone boats going to be essentially useless when going against PvP or PvE ECM ships?
Do I have to wait for a drone to be attacked before it springs into action now?
If the answers are yes then you've just nerfed something that never needed nerfing.
*edit: I thought drones were supposed to protect their controller not just themselves.
nothing is changing in reality to how you control your drones now. We are fixing a few bugs with their behaviour like previously stated where they would not respond where they should do if an NPC attacks one of the group for example.
In combination with the increase to drone scoop range, it should fix a lot of the issues with drones and your warriors will now return to drone bay instead of circling you in ignorant bliss whilst your trying to align for a warp out
