Anyone know of an easier way to find free moons to anchor a pos at without having to scout around from system to system and flying to every goddamn moon just to find its allready occupied (often by just an anchored offline tower)
Or can point me in the direction of some free moons in caldari space The Citadel, Lonetrek, The Forge 0.5 - 0.7 Empire Space?
Any help apreciated.
Thanks

Add POS components to the overview and just direction-scan the moons after warping to the planet. Be sure to set the scan distance to something small, so you aren't picking up results from other moons around other planets.

Kinda like Dirk said.
Add Towers and Moons to overview, set the scan range to about 10,000,000 km, fly to the planet and hit scan.
If you see more moons than towers then there is a free moon.
Try Autaris

don't be silly, that's really slow, he should get a freighter full of all his POS components, and just warp to each moon in turn. :P
...go on, i dares you! that said, i'm not sure if highsec posses can be set to attack anything, as opposed to just war targets/ -ve standing corps. been a while since i cared about highsec posses.

Goto the first moon. Siege destroy any tower there. Plop it there. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

this is an equally fun option, but it can't be done in highsec - no dreads :(
you could get a bum load of battleships, though.

You could also create a probing filter for towers only and scan all the moons with short range probes, zoom in and sort out the moons that have no hit on top of them. -------- Ideas for: Mining

Find a moon that you like. Because of location, it is green, pretty whatever. See what kind of tower is anchored at it. Find mercenaries. Pay mercenaries. Voila: you have just found a free moon.

Edited by: Kazuo Ishiguro on 06/04/2009 10:50:01 Quickest way is to warp to a planet and use the directional scanner. Count towers and moons in range (remove everything else from the overview). If moons > towers, narrow down the range until you find an empty moon. Otherwise move on to next planet. --- 20:1 mineral compression ISRC Racing, Season 7 - schedule |

You only need to declare war and bring enough firepower.
You aren't allowed to kill towers for free.

You're doing it wrong.
There are plenty of free moons in Minmatar space - mostly because it's not Caldari space.

Normally all you have to do is wardec the corp (2mill). When the 24h notice is over the POS is most likely removed by the owners.

You could try asking Mr. Morden for help, Londo. He and his associates gets things done!

try the corpticker, ceo's name or if the corp name (if it's short) try that, it often works

You want a resource where they are scarce. Either leave Caldari space or wardec to take what is rightfully yours.
That's the intent - pressure for limited resources makes us pew pew each other.

Theres actually a character ingame named Mr Morden.... wonder if i should send him an eve mail
The Directional Scanner trick works weell, Thanks Dirk.
As much as i'd like to take out an offline tower and claim the spot, i don't think a 1 man alt corp is gonna get the job done
Thanks for all the suggestions
