1. Eve + rl kids/family = Success? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I've found that Eve is the best MMO for me. I'm married with 4 kids. I'm my son's Den Leader for Cub Scouts and I have a job that is sometimes time-demanding (Linux nerd). The "usual suspects" on the fantasy side (EQ/EQ2/WoW/WAR) all require, IMH...

3. Finding a free Moon for a POS - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
You want a resource where they are scarce. Either leave Caldari space or wardec to take what is rightfully yours. That's the intent - pressure for limited resources makes us pew pew each other.

4. The First 30 Days - False Impressions and Boredom - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Not for nothing, but you can't "not play" Eve to play Eve, unless you have someone handing you ISK. Skill books cost money, ships cost money, etc. What's nice is that you can earn the ISK in a myriad of ways. I can only stomach running a mission ...

5. New to this, and quick question: all t2 bpo's gone? - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Datacores are valuable on their own. I quit Eve for two years and came back to an R&D agent who handed me 400 cores. It's like my trust fund. By skilling into Research Project Management (need Research and Lab Ops both at 5) you can have multip...

6. Thanks a bunch CCP. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Not only should you be disconnected with no warning, Concord should spawn and pod kill you at the same time.

7. CCP - Pirating, RRing and Militia really needs fixing! - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
It's the Obama code. The Amarr are throwing you under the bus for making them look bad, even though you're supposed to be friends. It's part of that whole "Eve is realistic" thing.

9. thoughts/ideas from a newer player - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Morlar on 17/03/2009 16:09:20 One minor quibbling point that no one seems to directly mention... Those skill books aren't free. The intro skills are cheap enough that maybe people don't think about it but the costs ramp up pretty q...

Edited by: Morlar on 16/03/2009 19:04:49 Since you're saying "quest", I'm assuming you've played other MMOs...probably WoW. That's not a bad thing at all...in fact, this guide was written for YOU: http://hammer-eve.blogspot.com/

11. CCP FAILED epically with the new scan probes!!! - in Science and Industry [original thread]
So did the OP never make any ISK selling probes or launchers prior to the patch? If you had all those BPOs prior to the update, you had the chance to sell what other players who didn't have them couldn't. And those probes were not infinitely reus...

12. 18 months ago I won EVE... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]

14. Scanning: If it aint broke, don't fix it!! - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Time spent in training the skills will still help...you'll have fewer deviation errors, for instance. It's a nice balance of character skill/player skill now.

Yeah, it seems that the new probing is not the "easy-sauce" that some people feared. Even if you get a green warp lock, your probes might still be wrong because they aren't tight enough on the real target. At least you can't fall off the edge of ...
