Missile barrage pod Fires a swarm of guided missiles at all targeted ships within range. It fires a maximum amount of missiles per ship and a maximum amount overall. It has to reload after one shot for a longer time.

There is a way to add this without changing much. If the ships would instantly accelerate to 0.1 AU (or whatever is speed of light in AU) and accelerate slower to full warp speed than currently. You would have this blasting warp off effect of the ...

50/100/150 km would be my preferred ranges. The drawback of MJDs is already the long cooldown. They won't get OP with a choosable range. An alternative could be that there are different MJDs with predefined ranges and not scripts.
