hi,im pulling my hair out trying to find a solution to this driver issue.Has anyone had the same problem whilst gaming.whenever i log on eve now the game crashes -green flashes -black out screens and freezing.Any suggestions to solving this driver issue would be more than welcome.from what i have gathered it is an issue with nvidia drivers and vista.thx.

Is this a Dell laptop?
There was a common error in one of the .dll's for the older Dell/Vista/Nvidia drivers that would cause the screen to start flickering, then the system to crash.

Solution is easy.
1. C:\>format C: /y
2. Get out Windows XP CD and install fresh.
3. ???
4. Profit!!

No not a dell laptop.compaq presario desktop.nvidia 7500le graphics card.And yes im tempted to install xp.vista is a pain.i was wondering if anybody else has had the same problem and found a better driver or whatever.lol.

unfortunately there are multiple causes to this issue and not just tied to vista or even nvidia.
Are you runnning dual monitors or using a screen instead of your laptop display by any chance?
i had(have) a similar problem for a long time and there are many different potential fixes out there on the internet from diddling with your drivers, adding registry keys to just plain hardware problems.
Although its not much help i really suggest checking google and see what others have tried.

Try installing the latest video driver it works for me.
Now im thinking this is the one where it comes up something like (driver nvvdlk has stopped working but has recoverd) am i right if it is try typing that into google and you should find pages on how to fix it (i think)

another issue would be heat. if you have an external KBD, mouse, try propping the back up the laptop up so there's an air pocket underneath the bottom of it.
Anyone ever seen an Apple IIc?
