Edited by: Silchius Ruin on 05/02/2009 22:25:56 Edited by: Silchius Ruin on 05/02/2009 22:24:43 Hello Peeps! Long time lurker, first time poster here, so please be kind Having major crisis in confidence in my caldari choice of character. Would like to say I have gone down the usual route of missiles skills to use what are generally considered the better caldari boats. Sick of seeing the same old boats out there and was considering some options to bring a little more colour to my life in a capsule.
4 ships in particular I would like a little discussion on, be it good or bad but please back up your arguments.
1. Griffin, good or bad? Why do I not see any in action? 2. Moa 3. Ferox(the much maligned) Why does this boat have such divided oppinions? 4. Blackbird (coz I just bought one and would love some advice)
PLease if u can, could u suggest some PvP Fits, or just tell me I am crazy for even trying.

I owned all those except the Griffin. What are you using them for?
I used mine for PvE missions. The Blackbird was weak (ECM doesnt work against NPCs, and the Blackbird is an ECM specialist). The MOA is fugly, but I used it for PvE missioning until I could afford a Ferox. The Ferox worked pretty well, and although I now have a Rokh, I have been told it (Ferox) works well in Level 3 and 4 missions.

1. Great cheap gang ship, you die fast but such is life. The reason u rarely see 'em is because most people can fly better ships than frigates and they can't be solo PvP'd with. 2. Underrated but still underperforming ship when compared with the Thorax, Vexor and Rupture. 3. Can be used as a long range attack ship (I wouldn't exactly call it a sniper), for anything else it's just lackluster and a Brutix does the job better. 4. Like the griffin, great gang ship. Commonly used by PvP'ers for its cheap pricetag.

Quote: 1. Griffin, good or bad? Why do I not see any in action?
because it's A: a t1 frigate, which B: are specialised in tackling, except C: it doesn't tackle.
Quote: 2. Moa
hugely underrated, one of the best t1 cruisers in the game, behind the rupture.
Quote: 3. Ferox(the much maligned) Why does this boat have such divided oppinions?
it sucks for the same reason the prophecy sucks and the cyclone sucks. The tier 2 version is simply better, way better.
Quote: 4. Blackbird (coz I just bought one and would love some advice)
these are throwaway jamming ships. Good for learning, much cheaper than falcons to lose (while learning).
