He went from full shields to pod Tried to lock second person to RR, took 30 seconds. Same thing happen tried to put shield drones and RR on, but it said they were no longer in system. 20 seconds later he went from half shield / full armor to a pod.

Just had a fleet fight in kamela on kourm gate, about 40 people on each side, 90 people in local total, desynced so bad that could not do anything, about 8 minutes after we called the fight off i am still desynced. This is bs. This is a relatively small fight, why so much lag, it wasnt broken dont **** with it. approx 21:50 eve time.

Yes, fail again CCP. Like the last poster said, jumped in through gate, no problems loading grid, first target locked fine and then it all slooooowed dooooown. Module lag first, then total desynch. Decided to warp out in the end, spent five minutes getting the "Warping to bunker" message while I watched myself orbit the fight, eventually logged out. This sort of fight is what we play FW for, both sides were up for it, the FCs spent a lot of time and effort on getting us to the right place, and CCP let us down flat yet again.

*absolutely agree* this was the second fight within a few days I was in with 60 to 80 ppl, I have all settings, effects etc pp turned off or down to the bare minimum, hidden all brackets - and still it's the most annoying lag you can imagine. Starts with module-activation delay of about 30 seconds and gets worse every moment.
These lags are *definately* killing FW |

40v40 in Kamela lag spike, lost several ships and pods. This sucks. Some members of the fleet still lagged out 30 seconds after it started. It's enough to make you quit the game. Should have easily been able to hold that battle without crapping out. Very disappointed.

Yeah about 3 hours of work to get them to come out gone down the drain in 10 seconds of engaging...

Took part in the above fleet engagement today, at around 21.45-21.50 server time. The fleets engaged, primary called, start firing and boom. Everything totally lagged out, I desynced and my ship was killed by drones, while I could do nothing to fight back, escape, rep, nothing. Was an extremely dissapointing end to what had been a very promising little chase.
This was also my very first day taking part in FW.

Edited by: Draskuul Vrallis on 15/02/2009 23:23:21 I was also in today's Kamela fight.
Just a few seconds after dropping out of warp, I began rubberbanding as I traveled towards a target. After a couple minutes of the target slowly dying (with me never shown as being targeted nor taking any damage), I was suddenly in a pod. Over the next couple minutes I started seeing targeting towards me and damage messages.
After a few minutes, a warp to a planet finally activated, and I warped there alone. After about ten minutes, I started slowly showing damage against my pod, and eventually lost it as well.
In total I lost an Absolution and my pod. A petition has been filed.
I also started Fraps shortly after the rubberbanding began. I'm trying to get that video onto Youtube now.

Date & Time: Feb 15, 2009, 22:09 System: Akidagi Number of pilots involved: ~75-80 pilots
Fight started reasonably with no overview or module lag on my end. FC and others began experiencing bad overview lag and we started cycling through several target callers who had to back down from calling because the targets they were calling were no longer there. About 2 minutes into the fight many of us began getting the repeating "entering space" messages along with the overview going completely haywire. My guns and warp scram were stuck and continuing to cycle with no target for at least 4 minutes post-battle. Ended up with about 7-8 minutes of stuck/lagged modules total on guns and warp scram before relogging after the battle. Drone responsiveness and commands worked reasonably, with some lag.
KB summary of the battle: http://www.quafeultra.com/killboard/?a=kill_related&kll_id=105134
Screenshot 1 at 22:12 - Started to get the "entering space" messages. Overview has become unusable at this point, seeming to change settings by itself and getting multiple instances of the same pilots. My modules became useless and were continuing to cycle after the previous target went down.
Screenshot 2 at 22:19 - Battle was basically over. Overview was working properly again. Modules were still stuck cycling and were unusable. Warped off to a planet in an attempt to clear the rest of the lag/desync. About a minute later I relogged to clear the modules.

Thanks for the reports so far. Its a real help and it is allowing us to dig into what is going on server side quite nicely.
In the mean time, it would be really interesting to see what is going on client side during these battles - specifically the reports of de-sync and lockups. Even if there is server load, there shouldn't be lockups and desync of this nature happening to the game client.
If you are consistently having issues with this, it would be much appreciated to submit a bug report with logserver file(s) covering the fight attached. Mark the bug report for my attention.
Please see instructions for running logserver here. Additional to those instructions, I would recommend enabling the "Server Mode" option in logserver under the Tools menu. It will cause logserver to output multiple files (in the folder logserver runs from), and stop it from consuming too much RAM if it is run for extended periods.
Many thanks,

Date+Time of fight: 2009.02.07 07:11:00 System Name: Heydieles Number of pilots involved: about 20+ or so on each side Comments on performance: This was a while ago, so I don't recall the exact specifics, but the Caldari Militia fleet had jumped into Heyieles, and basically waited for the Gall FW fleet to warp in. On warp in, FC called primary, and the pew ensued. I couldn't find the primary i the overview (no idea if lag related or my continued inability to get the overview to behave how I want it to), targeted the secondary instead. For the first minute or so, things seemed fine, and then nearly everyone on voice started reporting lag, and at that point, I started seeing the "entering space" message with the progress bar, about every few seconds or so.
Now I could see my ship taking damage, but at this point all controls were completely unresponsive. I had brackets on, 512mb cache on, Effects off, but all other graphics options on. I was zoomed out pretty far, and was about 30km off the main blob (sniping).
Two corp mates were able get enough control to warp out. I had to log to gain any control (on relogging in I was in a pod, so I warped away). One other corp mate lost a BS.
For the time being, we're avoiding large blob fights to avoid the lag death. ---------------------------------- NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Visit us: FW Inc |

Honestly I think it is time to give a break on FW.
There is no fun losing a ship while having no control on it.
With so many reports, beside the petitions, it is hard to believe you don't have enough material to find the issue.
I don't think most people understand exactly what you mean with de-sync and lockup.
The interface keeps working, at least the ability to click on buttons and move windows, but the result is none on gameplay (at least visibly).
If you have some many people complaining about this, in other words, everybody involved in every single battle that bugged. Looking for problems on client side is just losing the focus on the main issue.
We don't see people complaining about this in 0.0 systems what is a good clue.
Please take us very serious and fix it, also make it easier to refund ships we are losing due this show stopping bug!!!!
We appreciate your support.

Date/Time: 08/02/09 14:30-14:40 System: Heydieles Pilots:approx 20v20 Performance/comments: Thought it was going to be fine, first two targets locked OK, first one all commands responded within 2s, generally within 1s. As first target dropped, desync occured. Unable to lock, engage modules, or move. Overview started gathering duplicates, but was still refreshing data? Showed I had been aggressed by target, but unable to respond to it. Managed to set an Autopilot to get pod out, since I couldn't move, shoot, lock. From log captures, shows there is something funky going on;
