Most already know by now because of the non-stop convos I'm getting, but some of the old CPU, active membership merged into my corp and we joined Majesta Empire.

Kind of ironic that we joined up with the NC after we received our coup de grace from some of its members, but hey, that's Eve for you. :)

Sad to see CPU disband. We had a blast when we were part of the alliance a while ago.
You should have joined ED Dark :) but i recon we will see eachother in space soon enough. We are not that far apart.
best of luck to all ex-CPU members. |

Edited by: FelonyFruitFlinger on 13/01/2009 19:02:15 As the quintessential CPU geezer, I'd like to say that:
From empire carebearing to Cache to Ravarin to Naguton to Cloud Ring to Venal to Branch to Venal to Great Wildlands to Venal, Venal, and finally....Venal, I had fun every step of the way. I had fun flying with and against all of you.

To be more specific, the symbolic last straw was having our towers reinforced by a gang lead by the founder of CPU :)

Originally by: Girly'girl I miss those days when Insurgency crushed CPU in the epic 304 fights. You were a nice opponent back then, good luck.
Still one of the most enojoyable times I've had in Eve.

Shame about the rubbish others from Foundati0n posted on the thread. I hope it doesnt reflect poorly on your old friends...

Originally by: Slayton Ford BTW, Vanguard one of the most worthless alliances in 0.0. When they were camping the PF- station and a red jumped in and said "snowball fight in local" they all docked up. Unless they had more then 3 to 1 odds, they would not undock. They do have some decent players in the corp ISLE though. But if all the players from Vanguard droped out of eve, the happiest people would be the pirate factions....because there ships wouldnt be killed any more.
The only battles that finally had Vanguard. pulling out of PF- were those with Ev0ke's mothership supported interceptors. Prior to that, most of the docking up was to gather numbers and swap out from the ratting ships. Their style is definitely more conservative than most alliances, but it has the benefit of not wasting resources that, at the time, were stretched near the breaking point. |
