I did insure a tech two ship. Then I learned it really wasn't worth it. Lesson learned.

T2 insurance doesn't cover the cost of the ship or even remotely close. Which means a vast majority of people don't even insure there T2 Ships.
No problem there and no reason to remove as it is a choice every player can make.

I think tech 2 ships are fine, they need to reduce the insurance on tech 1 ships though. The difference between tech 2 and tech 1 should be made smaller. Either increase tech 2 or lessen tech 1.

A more serious question is should T2 insurance increase with the introduction of T3? |

T2 insurance should half over the value of the ship imo, atm its worthless. T3 will likely be so variable that insurance is impossible. |

Not knowing much about this, but i believe the only cap on T2 insurance is the amount of minerals they melt down to. A case of more out then in. |

You think you can just post some nonsensical garbage idea, not give any reasoning or even state which side of the fence you are on, and then watch as the eve-online forums explode with feverish debate on the subject?
it's not even a subject worth discussing. remove insurance, leave it, nobody gives a damn.
please don't create any more threads. |

Not a very inventive, yet strangely effective troll. The only only two LOGICAL alternatives are to remove all insurance in one extreme, or make all ships insureable near market averages on the other extreme. Removing only T2 ship insurance makes very little, if any sense at all.

Also signed, but I doubt the community would come up with an alterantive. There'd be no way to confirm ship losses without giving your full API to someone. |

Would only work if CCP made some system for players to automate ship losses and payouts. Otherwise alot of scamming would happen, but yes likely would be player done. |

No player would take over the insurance market, because for most ships the probability of losing the ship is 1. A player would have to have flipped their wig to write 99/100ths of the insurance policies that are written in Eve. Would you write insurance for someone's tackling Interceptor? I didn't think so. It's there to give an easy way to soften losses, If losses are too soft, the payouts should come down. If losses are too hard, the payouts should go up. |

Tech 2 ships have insurance?
That's almost a meme in the sense of "EVE has sound?" In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.
