this isnt the case im afraid . me and my brother noticed while killing a bs/ceptor spawn that you get the security gain for the 1st ship you kill every 10 minutes , and not the most difficult :( . further testing showed this is indeed the case . while we spent days killing bs rats , we almost never seen 0.4% value (we always got 0.01-0.04 etc , frigs and cruisers) .
i concluded that these values we got from killing the ceptor rats first , and thats what sticked for the next 10 minutes . while not being critical , its certainly annoying to get 1/10 of the sec gain you'r supposed to get .

Yes I can confirm this one. In the missions ive done the last weeks i've tried to kil the 'boss' first in every group ive encountered, yet only seeing those low values, in my case generally ~0.006 and that cannot be correct.

Just kill the BS first in every sec status cycle then ??

i snipe , so i like to take the ceptors out at the nice distance of 150km . they go first so i wont get jammed or webbed at the worst possible moment .
the best workaround this problem ive seen so far is hunt in pairs , one takes out the ceptors and cruisers and the other then starts on the battleships . then switch roles .

That makes more sense than it being the lowest of the things you had killed, which is what I thought was happening... (but yes, I have seen this effect as well, and yes, it sucks :))

Bumpage to get more atention.
Yes I noticed this as well. I kill ceptors and cruisers first all the time to reduce the ammount of dmg that I receive in case something horrid like CTD happens and I lose my ship and all the cool loot that never drops from BS any more.
Please fix this bug. I want to have +10 sec rating already so that I can go pirate already.

i thought u can only get +5.0 sec now? if not then im bugged to hell and back cause ive been stuck on 5.0 since castor came out

OK, yes, sorry I meant +5.0, now where is that n00b scum of the earth that I need to lay some wasting on? Hmmm maybe I am not uber enough, one day though, they will all bow to me.

If you hunt in pairs, then your wingman must also inflict at least one actual hit on a target to get sec status gain. He will share the bounty if in the same grid but will not share sec status changes if he doesn't hit the battleship mob.
