You know that kid that played with himself at recess surrounded by all the toys in the sandbox digging a big hole in the ground and giving really mean sideways glances at the group of other kids who are wont include him/her in thier kickball game with the NC? Well that probably didnt happen but if it did it would be a good analogy for the illuminati in this man's opinion. Sup viper.

Serious question, did anyone actually think that things would end differently for Tri ver. 2? Disbanding in disgrace after riding someone else's coattails and telling stories about their former "glory". |

I did, I thought we were going to join GBC and kill the Northern Coalition then we would take Deklein for our own and just sit back making billions of isk from moon mining.
Maybe now I am in Atlas all my dreams that died with ASCN can come true. Fingers crossed.

I like PL, and have always had a lot of respect for the people in Illuminati, always felt they were the best corp in Tri Mk I.
Not sure why there is constant reference to PL and NC. Before the GBC maximum failure campaign, PL came and played in Tribute and after that some went over to Fountain for some sight seeing. PL brought in a fair chunk of hardware into the northern war and they weren't set blue by the NC outside of a few major engagements against BoB. Not many alliances have the stones to move that kind of hardware without looking to gain something.
I wouldn't mind seeing PL back in the north, even if they have no formal relationship with NC. It is just good to have good quality alliances around you; friend, foe or indifferent.

Edited by: WShatner on 21/12/2008 19:17:57 Reasons why Tri mk2 failed
a. DOOM. corp, with a history of idiotic leadership, worthless egos, and recruiting rejects from other corps, it was always destined to fail. They made the fatal mistake of kissing up to the GBC's MAXIMUM failure campaign.
b. Useless egos like SATAN and DHB Wildcat that couldn't do real PvP without epically failing even when they tried
c. Worthless rejects and failures, like HAVOC from FIX and The Requiem fame and Gjks above.
d. FCs leaving for reasons above and/or going inactive; not that they were any good, .
e. Terrible forum posting like this post, but much much worse.
Notice how I didn't list the nanonerf as one reason.

PL brought in a fair chunk of hardware into the northern war and they weren't set blue by the NC outside of a few major engagements against BoB. Not many alliances have the ISK to move that kind of hardware without looking to gain something.
Fixed that for you! No disrespect to PL but if they didnt have the means to instantly replace that hardware they wouldnt be fielding it in the way they do/did.
As far as the FIX comments if most alliances came under just a small portion of siege FIX absorbed they would failcascade very quickly. You can think what ya want about FIX but 99% of the time FIX was under siege by multiple alliances for several years. Going back to fall 2005 till they finally were removed from Querious.
Also someone else talked about riding coatails of BOB in the north. WTF do you think goons aaa bob morsus mihi do when they nap and work with coalitions. Tell me anyone who actually does anything without riding on someones coat tales. Your theory and thoughts are lack of logic and thought you are void of competence.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE OF SIGNIFIGANCE OMG!!!1 Answer nothing and neither has anybody else because nobody seems to want to fight/defend on there own.

Basically, TRI is a terrible alliance that folds as soon as you look at it funny. This is the second time they've folded without ever coming under attack. They talk a lot of **** and push some smaller alliances around and then when they run into even the slightest bit of difficulty they disband and come crying to the forums about "good fights."
I guess what I'm trying to say is that TRI is a terrible alliance, always has been a terrible alliance, and always will be a terrible alliance. No amount of "Mkx" is ever going to change that.

you can say whatever about TRI, but anyone that came against us , any fleet of no matter who, equal numbers ( or ever 2:1) no one dared to go for it, cause we sucked so much!
We will be there for mk3 and 4 and 5
but like i said the game is different, its not eve fun, the only fun you can get is, in lag fights somwhere in south atm, thats about it, or roaming and skirmishes in npc regions, thats about it,
EVE atm is Join The Blob, or die to the Blob -------------------------------------

I would also be proud if my alliance (5-10 corporations) managed to be better against one single corp, kinda like Coalition (5-10 alliances) chest beating against one alliance. Oh well, I always told them we need more diplomats, PVPers are so passe in these modern EVE times.

ITT killing hydra and then dieing as soon as bob pulls out of the north is redefined as serious, honorable pvp. If only I wasn't in the worst alliance the entire game, maybe I would understand :(
