So...after a few hours of searching through the forums, and google, I have come up with bupkis. I know there's a big list of places too "ooooh" and "ahhhh" at in the Eve universe, but no one seems to have a list, or locations of such places.
I've been to the Eve Gate, and I know the locations of Steve the Titan's remains and the Black Monolith...but that's it.
I've heard of the Glass Edge star cluster, but I don't know where that is. There's dozens of places, if not more, to visit out there...I just need some help finding them.
Thanks!

If you turn on landmark names on the in game map that should give you a few more places.

The Black Monolith is supposed to be a monolith like in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Except, you know...it's black. Yo.

Of course, if you don't fire on them (and you don't have bad standing with Caldari), they don't fire first. Feel free to sit and stare. ----- I'm a collector! Want to trade? See my Collection List and contact me. |

There is also a Galante Cruiser flying around a moon somewhere, and a few jumps of Aufrey are also a few sites.
But indeed a big list of things you could see would be awesome!

New Eden system in Genesis. The collapsed wormhole is just a background image, but it is pretty. ----- I'm a collector! Want to trade? See my Collection List and contact me. |

Edited by: Franga on 10/12/2008 12:25:13 c9n, down is Esoteria. First Titan to ever be popped. Probably also the most controversial. The owner of said Titan quit EVE shortly after.
EDIT: Sorry, just read you know about this one already. But have you actually been there? ----------

Haven't been to it yet...there's a few places I know of that I want to know the location of, like the Crystal Cathedral and the Myriddion (sp?) Plains. I hear they're really pretty and all that.

You could visit sites at the COSMOS constellations too. You might need to carry a gun at some of the locations, but others are quite safe. ---------------- Mr. Science & Trade Institute

What was so controversial about the first Titan's popping? Wasn't the pilot logged out or something at the time?

Yeah, but beyond that - there was talk of it not being flown by the actual owner of the account.
And about 300 other rumors at the time. It was a regular popcorn dilemma. ----------

Just before he logs guy hits the titan with a smartbomb turning on the timer. Guy logs Titan warps off Bob fleet scan the titan and down and start dropping the hammer titan goes bang guy says WTF.
I think this is how it went down.

No "Tour of EvE" could POSSIBLY be considered complete without a slow, leisurely stroll about the Rancer solar system.
Why, you are GUARANTEED to see sights of sheer amazement.

Edited by: MercenaryMuffin on 10/12/2008 12:52:40 Oh yes. I happened upon the "wonders" of Rancer a few days ago...I jumped into system, wondering why the name sounded so familiar, and as soon as the area loaded, I saw about 30 flashing red bars in the system menu.
Oh, crap.
So I warped to the next star gate out of there, and was smartbombed by a 'thrawn for my troubles.
Somehow, though, I escaped with my little Rifter in one piece.
I added Rancer to my 'avoided systems' list immediately after

What is also fun is getting a few friends, get in t1 frigates, and go visit the most southern/eastern/western and northern solar system in eve. Looking afterwards on the starmap ("systems I visited") is awesome, and also very thrilling to do.. Guaranteed fun.
Best is to have a covop scout if you *really* want to make a chance.. When we did it, we ended up with a named spawn at a gate :P good loot :)
You will also discover that 0.0 is mostly EMPTY, very empty.

As for what I've seen, there's the City of God in the Domain region. Its...interesting, I guess. Kind of a "been there, got the T-shirt".
The New Eden system was a lot more interesting to me before they removed all the cans.
The place was a monument of sorts to various people from the "I wuz heer" to memorials to RL deceased corp mates and whatnot, hundreds of cans that were an informal history of EVE, and a fun little time capsule for new players to see what had come before.
I've been back since the Trinity patch, and its a far more bland place than it used to be. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

Edited by: Dismus on 10/12/2008 14:51:09 Inder? For gawd sakes, what's so beautiful about that backwater solarsystem?
A really good place to visit is a solarsystem called "Shastal," if I'm not mistaken. It's been a while since I've flown through there, but an ancient Amarrian Emperor (I'm not quite sure how old) had a... a city of sorts, I believe, constructed out in space in that solar system. Or perhaps it was a temple. No matter, anyways, the place is a shattered ruin now, but still quite appealing to the eye.
Although, I'm not sure your stark Caldari tastes would agree...
And here, a link to an article discussing this shred of history. Apparently the emperor in question was in power approximately one thousand years ago.
