This is probably a really dumb question but how do I put stuff into a general freight container?
I bought one at the station where most of my stuff is located and it now shows in the 'items' window along with al the stuff I want to put into it. How do I actually get the stuff into the container so I can get it shipped to my desired destination? I thought just drag & drop would do it but it doesnt! Help please...
Thanks Z '...from out of the wan night the shadow walker slithers...' |

double-click the container, it opens it works like that with every kind of containers
BUT
GFCs only fit in freighters (no other containers fit in freighters though), they're 120,000.00 m^3 large with a 120,000.00 m^3 interior space. The rest of the containers are smaller on the outside... a giant secure one is 3,000 outside, 3,900 inside. But they can't be loaded in freighters, only in industrials and such... meh.

drag and drop --
There are countless games in the world. There are at least as many ppl that dont like one or more rules of said games. That never stopped smart game designers from creating good games.

Hmmm... drag and drop was the first (and most obvious thing ) I tried but the items do not go into in the container - they remain in the items window; the container stays empty.
Oh well Z '...from out of the wan night the shadow walker slithers...' |

Have you assembled the container? Right click it and assemble it Then double click it, or right click and select open
Will then open another window that is the container, then drag and drop as has been said into the container
Some things cant be put into containers, or they didnt used to be anyway. Mainly alive things, slaves, livestock, etc etc -----------------------------------------------
No i'm not good... but i have never claimed to be -------------------- |

OK - thanks - I think I've tried this but I'll give it another go - and yes, the container is assembled.

Marvallous - I did this originally but didn't drag the container window away from the items window - once I did this and had two seperate windows then drag and drop works.
Many thanks Z '...from out of the wan night the shadow walker slithers...' |

You can drop onto the tab of stacked windows to move stuff around, you dont need to have separate windows.
Glad you got it sorted. -----------------------------------------------
