"Patching Error in file resui.stuff . The specified file did not have the correct CRC. This indicates that your installation was corrupt. Please reinstall EVE-Online."
Tried a manual instalation after the first one failed with no result. Would of posted this in Linkage but it's locked. How can I fix this?
Thanks.

Ah, there ya go. This bit should help you:
Quote: Players who experience difficulties with Steam can manually patch their client by finding the "EVE" folder in their Steam installation folder, and run the EVE client from there to patch it
We're working with Steam again on getting this resolved as quickly as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

got the missing blue.dll error. Got a friend to send it to me and put it in the bin folder, then python25.dll was missing in the bin folder, and after that it was _trinity.dll that was missing. After having gotten those 3 files the game runs again for me [This space for rent]

Edited by: lncognito on 27/11/2008 16:26:27 I redownloaded EVE from steam, ran the client from the steam folder. Downloaded the patch, and I still got "resui.stuff incorrect CRC error". Going to download full client (steam free) and try from there...

Should not need to download a new client, merely create a shortcut to your desktop from the Steam installation and use that instead of the Steam launcher. ------------------

"All blockade runners (Crane, Prorator, Prowler and Viator) now have a 5 second reactivation time when using a covert ops cloaking device."
Great Success
"The bonus for cloaking which is applied to blockade runners now states as "-98.5% to -99.25% bonus to cpu need of covert ops cloaks"
Also nice, this was confusing before.
"The price history tab in the market window now shows the correct price history. For example, two decimal places have been added so prices will list as 1M, 1.25M, 1.50 M instead of 1M, 1M, and 1M."
I was thinking about this again just yesterday. Nice one. -

I believe everything is good. But these patches are starting to get annoying! Thing is that i need reinstall whole client after i install them. Previous time i lost more then 3 hours to download the whole client. Hopefully i have saved the client now. i hope it will work after reinstall. And overview settings are still "pain in ass". They are messed up after any crash or patch!

Originally by: JadeO IGB is still slow displaying content.
little more info: If the page is loaded while the IGB is minimized, the content is loaded incorrectly (as in: widths being shortened thus making one line of text going into a 2 or more lines, content getting aligned to the left weirdly etc).
For reproducing bug: try loading the "Player News Center" page while having the IGB minimized ;) ______________

Try downloading the patch from here and manually patching your client. Reboot your machine before patching to make sure no lingering effects of previous attempts are locking necessary files. The link is to the premium patch, go here for the classic version. ------------------

Dear CCP,
only 'cause i stoped to give some serious F*** about this game some time ago i wont use a harsh language here. but let me remind you just this...
in late 2006 and in early 2007 i was able to play on up to 6 (six, Sechs, sei, szesc,...шесть - depends on where you come from) clients. i had no random CTD, i could log in fast and easy. now?... now i have to LOG IN 3 F*** times to be able to launch even 1 client!
this ain't FEATURE! its downgrade! yes, downgrade.
seriously, i cant believe ppl pay real money for this software.
you have time till 2012 to fix this game (extended till late 2012 via ETCs only) and make it playable once again lika it was in 2004/2005. if you fail at that task (fingers crossed! for your 'success') i'm out for real.

What exploits were fixed? You've claimed to have identified and removed some in several recent patches but afaik exactly what was fixed has never been stated. Are you really afraid that a developer will make a mistake and cause an old exploit to reappear at some later point? Shouldn't QA be able to test these things anyway? --- Can't afford that BPO? Exploit fixes are never made public before they have been resolved on the Serenity cluster in China as well. ------------------

funny, i thought this has gone through.
on a mac, post-patching, after running eve, the client does not appear to be running in the dock (osx 10.4.11), when i cmd+tab. if i click on the eve icon, it gets me back into the game just fine. .

While we continue to work with Valve to address these issues, we are recommending that all players who have purchased EVE through Steam NOT use the steam application to launch EVE until proper fixes for these issues have been deployed.
For now, please download and use the EVE installer from our website: Windows: Classic: http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/EVE_Classic_Setup_70393.exe Windows: Premium: http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/EVE_Premium_Setup_70393.exe Mac: http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/mac/eve-001938_70393_mac.dmg c Linux: http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/mac/eve-001938_70393_mac.dmg
You may wish to install the client into the same location that Steam stores it so that the corrupt files are over-written with a clean client. SteamÆs default install location for EVE is here: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\eve online (where "C" is the drive that you installed Steam on) ____________________________ I break things.Ö
