Since Saturday, my PC has got a few rather horrible viruses on it. I have no idea where they have come from as i havent downloaded anything and keep my PC upto date with multiple anti-sypware programs and Firewalls.
Zlob downloader trojan and friends is one of them, something Worm is another.
I've tried healing my PC of the viruses and no scans i do atm are saying there's no threats still left on my PC.
Unfortunately, it seems whatever these virus do is still in effect.
For instance, if i open firefox, it seems to get caught in some weird DNS loop that means it won't bring up google. The Worm virus i believe effected my D: drive and now i can't actually open it under My computer anymore as it says "Windows cannot find 'resycled/boot.com'. Make sure you typed the name in correctly blah blah".
So watch out for anything suspicious. As it looks like i'll have to do a full windows re-install. *sigh*
Oh and it wont let me system restore for some reason.

The hilarity of windows. At some point I gave up on understanding why. I just simply got used to the bi-annual formatting fest. God knows i've formatted those machines with such odd reasons that I can't even start to understand. Nor am I willing to anymore. Then at some point i noticed that I actually don't need a windows to do my job. I said hello to Steve and been on that path since.

do a search on google for osx86. then you can have a good OS on hardware you didn't get ripped off for. |

Do a reformat. It will take 45 minutes max to install the OS and another hour if that to reinstall all programs and drivers. I do this every 4 months to keep it running smooth and fresh.
