Edited by: Grak Yarn on 23/10/2008 03:06:37 Edited by: Grak Yarn on 23/10/2008 03:05:49 Brothers and sisters of the stars, we come today with a question, one that ask for justice. We come today with a message, one that offers a chance at that justice.
The Vherokior tribe has long been under-represented amongst the stars, whether in the capsuleer community, on the news, in the Parliament of the republic. We believe that it is now the time for the Vherokior tribe to shine.
Molden Heath, despite the efforts of many, remains mostly lawless space. Pirates ply its space lane, angels and others try to claim parts of it as their own. The Vherokior are looked down upon almost universally, as nothings, even less then the Krusual. We are not warriors, like the Brutor, nor leaders like the Sebiestor. We oft travel the road less taken. We wander the stars as nomads, as our ancestors did. When the Amarr came, our tribe kept its culture and its history. When the Republic was born, the Sebiestor may have been at forefront in rebuilding the infrastructure, and the Brutor may have bled to defend it, but without the Vherokior Tribe we would no longer have been Minmatar. And yet, we are dismissed. The Vherokior have been shadowed for to long by others. It is our time to take our place in the light, to lead our people! When was the last Vherokior leader elected to lead the tribes? For to long others have loomed over us, trying to tell us that we aren't good enough to lead, trying to convince us that we are nothing when we are the soul of the Republic!
The VFPG pledges to change that. While the rest of the universe may dismiss the Vherokior as inconsequential, but we deny this, we challenge this, and we invite anyone who truly believes in the cause to join me. It is not your genetics, but rather the form of your soul! The VFPG is dedicated to the furtherance of Vherokior interests throughout the cluster, whether it be halting the ever encroaching hands of those who would destroy the tribe, or stoking the fires of the mighty Vherokior industrial machine. Together we will restore honor to the Vherokior name, and bring glory to the Tribe!
The following short speech was broadcast from a Vherokior Tribe Treasury by VFPG CEO Grak Yarn:
Quote: Fellow Vherokior, I come to you today in the wake of recent events to issue a call to reason. Let no person deny the perils of our time. While we struggle against one another, divided by the petty strife of our common history, the tide of a greater conflict is turning against us, threatening to destroy all we have accomplished.
It is time for us as individuals to set aside our feuds and unite. The tides of an unwinnable war are upon us, and we must seek refuge upon higher ground, lest we are swept away by the flood.
The Republic is no more. Whatever semblance of unity and protection it once provided is a phantom. A memory. With our enemies left unchecked, who will turn to for protection? The devastation wrought by the enemies of our culture are self evident.
We have seen our allies, the Gallente, who aided us in the rebellion, attacked by the calculated and ruthless blows of the Caldari. We have seen our friends and loved ones taken by the Amarr juggernaut to feed the flames of their unchecked greed.
Unprecedented and unimaginable though they may be, these are the signs of our times.
The time has come, my fellow Vherokior, to rally our cause. In unity lies strength. Already many have pledged their support to this cause, from across the cluster. Out of the many we shall forge an indivisible whole, upholding only a single ideal. And to that ideal we shall pledge our lives.
From this day forward let no Vherokior make war on another Vherokior, let no agency conspire against this new beginning, and let no person consort with hostile powers. And to all enemies of our cause, seek not to bar our way for we shall win through.... No matter the cost.

Grak Yarn, from what I remember you have a chequered history of dissent. Including a stint in the pro-Amarr 13th Udorian Rangers, although spending some time in the pro-Republic Electus Matari. Your words have often saught to undermine true Minmatar unity.
Your text is self contradictory. Amongst other things, saying at one point Quote: "When was the last Vherokior leader elected to lead the tribes? For to long others have loomed over us, trying to tell us that we aren't good enough to lead, trying to convince us that we are nothing when we are the soul of the Republic!"
and another Quote: "The Republic is no more. Whatever semblance of unity and protection it once provided is a phantom. A memory."
We have many Vherokior in Kinda'Shujaa, fighting on the front lines against the Amarrians and Caldari. What is your position on this conflict? --------------------------------------- Outface the depths of evil with clarity --------------------------------------- |

Best of luck, I guess.
While I think your over-dramatizing things a bit, some of what you say is true, the Verokior is somewhat under-appreciated.
Creating a... political party? To alter this fact seems a bit much though.
((OOC: Made me laugh, but... Damn you, do you have any idea how much I want to game StarCraft again now? I've installed and uninstalled that piece of software so many times over the years it's not even funny
I really had better things to do today... but thanks))

What do you think needs to be done Mr Yarn? I will admit, it is rarely at best that I hear of the Vherokior being involved in Republic politics. --------------

I think this is one of many symptoms of the great tragedy of our time. When we become more concerned with the terms pro this, ot that, and we do not bother to investigate what things actually are.
What exactly is the dissent that Mister Yarn is guilty of here Mister Jeekin? That he chose to for a time work for a friend, in a corporation of another state? One which is eagerly concerned with the criminal actions of pirates belonging to certain aspects of Sansha's Nation and the Blood Raiders within the Tash-Murkon region? A group that looks to develop free trade for the ecconomic benefit of common Tash-Murkonites?
Is this the Matari ideal of disent now? That anyone whom would work to benefit the life of other people, if those people are not Matari, they are traitors? Is it the view of the Republic that the tribes of Matar have been given such a monopoly on human suffering, that the cost of human life elsewhere is worthless? And if one chooses to care of people's well being outside the Republic, that they somehow suffer from lack of character? |

Grak Yarn is known to many as a "neutral" party - trying to see things from everyone's point of view, enemy and kin. Some call him a "fence-sitter" because of this.
This turn into a tribe-proponent is most surprising, considering that past history. Pilot Yarn, would you care to elaborate on why this turn of mind?

I have always supported my tribe. This is no major step for me, and I still plan on being a "fence sitter" as I try to understand not just where and when people will do things, but why.
However, that being said, part of the reason for my move towards a more, hrmm, passoined tribal stance has been the amount of crap going on in the universe. This has been a long time coming, for me anyway. |

Please consider the following statement made by a friend of mine.
Quote: [...]No, but a obvious counter argument a Vherorkior may state is "Why is a Vherokior future and life worth less then a Brutor military campaign? And why was so much spent to rescue a hanful of Starkmanir by building a secret 'Elder' fleet, then to do the slightest bit of public works, or welfare for Molden Heath?" It is the logical point to make.
Let us assume that the rumors are not rumors but fact, and that the elder fleet was built from funds meant for public works and social services. What do you all think of this? Please feel free to discuss. ______________________________________________ No expansion without equilibrium, no conquest without control. Pursue success in serenity, and service to the people. |

If the money for the Elder Fleet had been spent on improving the Republic, then perhaps there would have been no *need* for war ? The Empire would have seen the republic developing, acting like a mature state and compromise and peace between Minmatar, Ammatar and Amarr could have been won.
The existence of the Elder Fleet suggests that the minmatar's claim to want peace was hollow and the biggest lie the cluster has ever seen. How can any government trust such a rogue state, siezed in a coup by a brutor tribe clique ?
The Republic's new masters have to face up that military force cannot resolve their differences with Mandate and Empire. They have to come back to the negociating table. The current round of hostilities must cease. |

The money could have been spent on the welfare of our people and the improvement of superstructure. However, I question if it truely would have been used this way. Under our previous Gallentean system politicians stuffed their pockets with laundered money from Government funds. More often than not, those tax dollars go to something the masses don't particular consider a priority.
Personally, I'm glad to see my taxpayer dollar going to something not just important to those fortunate to be free, but extend to every man enslaved under the oppressive Amarrian social habits.

Heartstone comes back from the kitchenette attached tot he living quarters in the rottign corpse of an abode he is currently living in. Sipping on a straw protruding from a container of Freedom-ade he looks at the next report.
Well if these rumors are true, which I must say I have never heard myself before, my answer to that would be that you misrepresent the intended recipient of such monies. Assuming the Republic in general was who the money was given to by whatever mysterious third party gave it then the majority of it wouldn't have gone anywhere near the good works you speak of but been swallowed by petty bureaucracy and the other idiocies of the adopted form of governance the Republic swallowed when they started being the Federations cheerleaders.
The Elder Fleet on the other hand was also a miscalculated plan but at the very least it has shown to the Matarian tribes a new way forward as well as rescuing the thought to be extinct tribe from the Nefanter's care.
As for the Vherokior well you need to grasp your own power my friend. Expecting someone to give it to you for being a good boy and towing the line isn't the Matari way. Look towards the Stars. The Elders seem to have be closest to the Thukker from what reports we get. Maybe this should tell you something. Maybe you would be best served by talking to the delegation now in the Republic claimed space.
The image of Heartstone starts to fade but then suddenly comes back
Oh and before I forget can someone please send a ship to the enclosed co-ordinates... I am getting fed up waiting for the rescue party who have seemingly got lost on their way.

The money would be from the donations of the Gallente Federation and the Amarrian Empire.
The gallente give I believe 10% of their GNP to the Republic every year. Something like that. ______________________________________________ No expansion without equilibrium, no conquest without control. Pursue success in serenity, and service to the people. |

Grak Yarn, we have spoken and I respect your ideals and ddesire to rebuild our tribal pride, I even share that desire. However you already work from a bad position as to making the presumption that rumors are true. Do you have facts to back this?
Additionally I must sadly ask the question, what does it matter now. If the money is spent then it si gone and rather than looking backwards and finding a way to lay blame we need to look forward and find a way to make our future.

Because if it is true, then what is to stop the other tribes from screwing over the Vherokior tribe again? I dont like working from rumours either, and i've been working as hard as I can to get more information, but I seem to be blocked all the time. ______________________________________________ No expansion without equilibrium, no conquest without control.
