I'm wondering if its feasible to run through a bubble camp with a blockade runner, in this case a crane, and what fits and what tactics should be applied (besides kissing my rear goodbye :P)?

Its possible, ive done it before.
I would not suggest trying tho, as its partly luck.
If you must, then the best thing is a blockade runner setup with a 10MN micro warp drive, and some i-stabs in the lows (Yes, i know its hard to fit), when you jump in, align to something, Slap on your MWD and cloak right away, (set them to F1 and F2). Then pray that they dont find you in time. once you are out of the bubble, decloak and warp.
If you are in a large bubble, you could try to burn back to the gate. good luck with that tho.
Main thing tho, is ALWAYS use a trustworthy scout. And if they see a bubble camp, dont jump in. find a way around, or wait it out.
If its a large bubble, your pretty much dead.
Also, if you warp into a bubble camp, then you are dead. You could try to MWD to the gate, but often you will be to far out in that case, and be dead in a few seconds.
Oh, last thing. Never haul anything thru null sec that you cant afford to lose. Im willing to bet that no matter how good you are, you might still lose one or two runs. --- There is no cure for death |

Depends on the bubble obviously. A well prepared and equipped camp should pick you off easily. While a dictor that just hit the probe launcher instead of the mwd when autopiloting by....
Annoyingly enough the Crane got it's powergrid issue. However, bubblecamps won't really differ in how to handle them. Jump, align, mwd, cloak. If you think the camp is to big, mwd to gate, if you think you can reach the edge of bubble and stay aligned - go for it. Parrots, commence!

It is possible, though you have the same problem as I have. It just ain't possible with the caldari blockade runner. The Crane gets a whooping 150 powergrid with max skills, that's exactly the grid a tech1 mwd uses (afaik, can't access the numbers atm).
So basically with Crane you're stuck in fitting a Reactor Control Unit II in one of your low slots to fit ANYTHING apart from the mwd. Not to mention that it even ain't a tech2 mwd.
You want to have agility rigs in your crane and an improved cloaking device in high slot. Then follows the standard tactic. You jump into a bubblecamp and follow these steps. a) shit yourself... b) look for edge of bubble and celestials you could align and warp to c) (lay your mwd to F1 slot) hit align to for celestial object, hit keyboard shortcut for overloading the mwd (something like shift + F1, dunno), hit F1 for activating the mwd, hit F2 for activating the cloak. and that in most speedy way d) pray e) decloak and warp out as long as you are still on speed f) run like hell or hide somewhere, cloaked
Oh, and another step: g) sign the petition to give the Crane a few more points of powergrid

with a prorator nanofited you should be able to suvive every camp even if you need to come back to the gate, especially if you have some hardwires and better even with a snake set.
The Crane is probably not that easy, because of limited PG and few low-slots

The crane is easier if you afford the storyline mwd. Lows for speed and align and meds for 'tank'.

My friend, this is EVE, as it's a space oriented game, they couldn't have trolls. We have Caldari.

For now, yeah. After the nano nerf you might as well just fit a powergrid rig.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

It's about to become much much more feasable!
Quote: To improve [Blockade Runners ] we refocused on stealth rather than agility. They will gain the ability to equip covert ops cloaking devices and therefore can warp whilst cloaked. In lieu we removed the +2 warp strength and one or part of their active tanking bonuses which were not really being used anyway as much. They will also gain the ability to utilize the black ops jump portals.
