I always remember mission offers expiring after one week as long as I have been playing EVE. A couple days ago I got a storyline mission and it had a one-week expiry time. Great! Then I joined a fleet to do some anomalies and when I looked at my journal I found that now the mission offer would expire within 24 hours. I thought it was because I joined a fleet, so after the fleet was done I did the mission ASAP so the next mission in the chain would expire in a week now that I was out of the fleet. I did the mission only to find that the next one expired in only 24 hours.
I had to let the storyline chain (Kidnappers Strike, a really nice chain) expire because I didn't have the time to run the next mission in that time frame. Ever since then, every mission I have been offered expires in 24 hours regardless if I'm in a fleet or not. I am pretty darn sure that missions have always had a one-week expiry time, at least as far as I know.
Has something changed? Am I wrong about missions having had a one-week timer? Everywhere I look on the web I see that mission offers expire in one week, so I am really not sure what is going on here. |

I Noticed that too. It is probably to stop players farming missions as I do. I will just change my strategy and find new work arounds even if it means that I have to grind all my alts standings to enable more choice of level 4's.. |

I have just noticed that it also applies to special missions like the trade storyline missions given by the data centers agents

Well, that doesn't sound right. Maybe a bug due to the latest patch. Probably be a good idea to file a petition. The only thing that should have a 24 hr timer is expeditions. I've been doing Epic Arcs which don't have a timer so I haven't noticed it.
The large multiple part mission series are supposed to have a 30 day expiration timer on the first offer, such as 'Kidnapers Strike'. I think that 30 day timer applies to missions with 5 or more parts. After the completion of the first mission, the timer should revert to 1 week for the next mission. Each mission offer should have 1 week timer and after accepting it, have 1 week to complete it.
As for the Data Center agent missions, having only 24 hrs to accept it is also wrong. Those should also be like regular missions. 1 week offer and 1 week to complete.
Hmmm, seems there's lot's of things going wrong in Eve nowadays.

Try in journal right click and chatwith agent, it will show the date it will expire. ^ they mean Read Details. Open Journal. Right click the agent/mission, choose Read Details. That will open mission info window, first paragraph is Mission Briefing, then there is one line with the expiration date and time.
