I have a raven fully fit out aside from Rigs.
I am on the cusp of doing Level 4Ęs.
I have done a few Level 4Ęs in it and one (the damsel one I gave up on as it kept respawing over and over and over and was driving me mad. I would finish all the bad guys and krull and start on the prison and then, wham, a FULL re spawn of all the ships and a new krull. Frigging driving me mad.)
My question is one I put the rigs in there then will it be harder to sell??
Its just I hear that the CNR is a great level 4 ship and certainly superior to the standard Raven.
I can afford a CNR.
Its just if I can relatively easily sell the standard Raven with rigs then should I stick to it while I become accustomed to Level 4Ęs.
Or do I just get the CNR for level 4Ęs from the beginning??
Its just if I loose it,a the standard is less ouch.

I've never sold a rigged Raven, but I have sold rigged Dominixes and Hyperions before. So long as you give a discounted price, my experience has been that the ship will clear in 2-3 days.

If the price of rigging a Raven and it's resell value actually mean that much to you then do you really have the wallet to be flying faction BSs?

Stick to the Raven then until you know all the ins and outs of all the major missions. All a CNR will give you is an increased efficiency so you make moar isk per hour and will not give you an invulnerable pve boat. You can lose a CNR just as quick as a Raven in a nasty mission if you flub the aggro or otherwise screw up. |

Yes, 45 mill does mean that much. I would love to have the obvious Billions you have but its taken a while to get there and dont want to **** even a mill away when i dont have to. |

if it helps, in my experience
ship base price + (rig(s) value x 2/3) very slow sale ship base price + (rig(s) value x 1/2) ok sale time ship base price + (rig(s) value x 1/3) quick sale time
rigged ships are never traded for their full ship + rig value.
also depends on the rigs, cap controls are popular so you might find that the market is saturated. if your rigs are strange they wont sell well, but since you said 45 mill im guessing cap controls

Keep your raven. You say you can afford a CNR? Good, get one: they make ISK much faster and the extra HP give you a little bit of lag-spike insurance. It's never a bad thing to have a spare fitted mission ship if you need to replace that CNR. |

Sure, the Navy Raven will make you more isk, and potentially clear level 4's faster.
However I would recommend against it at this stage. Level 4's come in varying degrees of difficulty, and until you are 100% confident in each mission I would definitely not sink all my money into a Navy Raven.
Most likely you will lose some ships as you start out in Level 4's, and it's better to lose a Raven or two to start with than lose a Navy Raven you sank all your money into.
Good luck!

In my experience. Get teh CNR for missions, it do them faster and safer :) (you gotta fit them right). I have not sold off my rigged raven tho, I keep it as a fallback just in case :P. |

Only fly what you can afford to lose.
If you can only afford a CNR by selling your Raven then you canĘt really afford a CNR yet.
If you can only afford to equip a CNR by stripping fittings from your Raven then you canĘt really afford a CNR yet.
If you feel confident in doing missions in a Raven without loss or warp outs then go for the CNR.
If you think getting a CNR is a substitute for skills, knowledge or a decent fit then stick with the Raven until you can mission confidently with it.
You will lose some ISK on selling a rigged ship but you can minimise this by fitting sensible rigs for the ship. I saw a Rokh with purger rigs for sale this week ū doubt the seller will get much return on his rigs as they were a poor choice for that ship.
The right rigs will soon pay for themselves in better mission times and you shouldn't need to worry about losses on re-sale.
The wrong rigs are ISK wasted and possibly a ship fit compromised so re-sale losses are the least of you worries.

Thanks for all the input. i think i will sell my raven on the market and get back what i paid. Then buy a Raven with rigs through Contracts. that way if i ever sell the rigged raven i have not lost much. |

Basic CNR (RNI) runs 375-380M on contract in Jita and in the Citadel region.
Rigged ones are available, but make sure its got the rigs you want.
Rigged mine with 3 Warhead Rigor Catalyst I's, for gank. Not the normal setup but it goes thru BC, Cruisers, and Destroyers like popcorn, which comprise about 60% of ships you encounter in Level IV's.
Got the idea from a poster who said most Raven/CNR fits are overtanked, and by maxing gank your killspeed becomes your tank. CNR has a great basic tank to begin with, I use a Lg DG shield booster and Shield Boost Amplifier, plus hardeners, etc.
Have done Angel Extravanganza (but not bonus room) and Gone Berserk with great success. Much faster than my 'Phoon and Maelstrom. |
