It has come to our attention that some of our loyal customers have been misled by a competitor of the Khanid Bookstore in the belief that they were dealing with the "real" thing. A rival corporation, called The Khanid 8ookstore (with the letter 8 instead of our B) is run by a pilot calling himself The 8ookseller (indeed).
We are investigating legal avenues to see if something can be done about this flagrant disregard for our copyrights and abuse of our brand name.
Every pilot is of course free in their purchase of skillbooks and it would be far from us to limit that right in any way. However, we must stress that in cases of difficulties with books bought at The Khanid Eightookstore we cannot offer any help or service.

Ordinarily, I'd classify this as a mean-spirited prank. The extent, however, to which your 'competitor' went to make victims believe that he was the 'real deal,' however, makes me suspect that this is a personal attack on TKB.
Either that, or I'm getting to paranoid again.

Some people obviously have no moral compass and far to much free time on their hand. I believe these people need the structured life of slavery where they can find their purpose, work to build a relationship with God and best of all live a life they can be proud of. This imposter certainly seems to fit the bill.

This is clearly not intend to be a mere competitor, but someone looking to sully your own company's good name. I would suggest a case against them via the Business Tribunal, but capsuleer entities notoriously circumvent the CBT.

You know, I condone neither the actions of con artists not impersonators, but by the throne of Amarr, Archbishop, don't you have any solutions beyond simply enslaving someone?
I'm hardly one to decry slavery, but you seem to believe that simply clapping someone in irons (or Vitoc, as the case may be) will suddenly lead to an intense moral reformation, and as such you prescribe it for virtually everything:
Minmatar? Enslave them!
For that matter, not Amarrian? Slavery!
Destitute? Slavery for you!
Outspoken? Slavery will teach you not to blaspheme!
Greedy? Slavery will teach you to serve others!
Scamming people? Slavery is the answer!
Piracy? Yup, you guessed it.
Picking one's nose in public? Off to the auction block!
I think that there are possibly less...permanent penalties that are appropriate for certain actions, as opposed to a lifetime of perpetual servitude.

I am happy to report that the court case has been concluded with a verdict that is for 100% in favour of The Khanid Bookstore and myself. Our opponents have been forced to change the name under which they operate and the name of their corporation into something totally different and the logo has been changed as well.
I wish to thank you for the support you have expressed here. While the case was in court I felt it improper to comment here, but your support was much appreciated.
I wish to express my gratitude to the court for reaching a swift and clear verdict. This verdict is a clear signal to all that while fair competition is the lifeblood of any market, there are basic rules that apply to all and provide a level playing field on which to compete.

The thing is Amarrians claim to have internally consistent logic. I was just calling him on that.
