Hello,
So, the question is : this mission, New Frontiers 5/7 is doable in a Ishtar ? I have read that this mission is pretty though for a level 3.
Currently, i do some missions in my Ishtar for faction standings, most are very easy. I cannot use yet Ogre II, but use Hammerhead II / Hobgoblin II (and i'm training now Amarr Drone Specialisation).
Any advice is welcome by those who had completed this mission. Specially about these energy neutralizers towers and web/scramble drones.

Hmm, what type of guns does an Ishtar have? I did it in a Hurricane with 720's. Took out the Neut towers first with a drone link augmentor and tracking computer with range script. Was able to launch drones and start firing from 70km. Also had my other mids full of Cap rechargers.
Sicced the drones on one, and got the other three or four by arty fire and moving drones as they went down. You may lose some drones as you really don't want to wait to get full aggro before you release them.
I then warp out, refit for gank, and mop up.
You should be able to avoid the scrambler drones long enough to take out the towers. If you decide not to warp out once the towers are down get the scramble drones next.
Some people passive tank this and don't care about the neut towers, but not having cap goes against my grain. As you take each tower down, your cap begins to stabilize.
There have been other threads extensively discussing this mission, you may want to do some research.

Just dont forget sentries (t2 preffered, t1 will do). kill neuts asap, after that its just the question of mopping drones. Sure there will be reinforsments but they weak. And for the sake of your ship DONT stand in 1 place like a target pratice. ---- Drones eat everything. Trust me. |

If you're using a passive shield tank on that Ishtar, you can effectively ignore the neut towers. Seeing as I've absorbed full room aggro from most L4s in one, you should be fine in a L3.

Finally, mission was done easilly.
I didn't shoot the neut towers. On warp in, i tried to go out of range of the tower, but the range was to long. So, i went back, aggro the drones, send my drones to attack them, while i was going far away. My own drones killed the rogue drones before they come close. Was only lightly hit by the drone battleship.
But the scary and uneasy thing was to be during all the mission with the capacitor empty.
So this mission wasn't as hard as i have feared.

The last mission, 7/7, is plenty hard though, the last room spawns a ton of drones and killing them all takes some doing...
