About 2 months ago I wrote a post: Roadkill you're better than this or Watch out PUREHydra, you're next!
Guess what Hydra? You are next! Soon, Hydra haters, you will no longer be able to post that Hydra is the ôworst 0.0 alliance.ö
As suspected. I was summarily attacked by both sides as ôworst post everö, a spy or that somehow all my intel was wrong. Since then Smash is all but obliterated and RK station-less and but a single blip, not in Geminate, but some 40 jumps away in Catch. WTF?
Why mention this? Because, though I thought Goons would be the triggermen on the whipping boy that is Hydra, it has come to pass that Triumvirate has become the harbinger to the eve (no pun intended) of their demise. Hydra is the new SMASH, about to be routed and left on the ash heap of eve history.
When looking at these graphs of the last days of SMASH in Geminate and comparing them to the Hydra losses as of lateà I have this feeling of dTja vu: Smash Hydra
PURE on the other hand is holding strongà.for now.
Having slightly increased their Sov 3 and 4 last week itÆs numbers looking stronger than ever. Will Pure be able to hold itÆs own against BoB in Deklein? And now with reports of BoB in Obe, right on the precipace of the P3EN choakpoint will BoB just strike at the heart of Pure in Vale? Goons and KIA to the east and onslaught of Tri in its home region of Vale. Pure may be the new Roadkilled.
With the rank smell of death in the air from all sides, the hounds are circling. Opportunists and profiteers like me are already licking our chops at the bonanza of items that Hydra and Pure will be dumping on the market cheap, cheap, cheap.
IÆm afraid Pure is in for some real hard times immediately ahead. Unless diplomacy prevails and some deviant backstabbing deals are struck, IÆm afraid their time may be up by November. Maybe...?
One thing fore sure, Pure will not just roll over, and there are promises to be some great fighting to be had in the once sleepy little care bear hamlet known as Vale of the Silent.
Oh, MosusMihi and Razor? Well they may just have their hands full with BoB and RA. But again some amazing fighting to be certain.

The mistake Pure has made is the same one that brought down Iron: Spreading out too much. Sure, it was tempting to go grab that space back, but it spread them too thin, and divided Iron into the corps with interests in the drone regions vs the ones that moved to Deklein. They should have instead sold their drone space to someone (at least getting something for it) and moved as a whole.
Pure is in the exact same situation. Spread out all over the map holding space they can't possibly defend at once, which means when the attacks come they fold.
This mistake has been repeated over and over by every alliance that has come under determined attack. There should be some sort of "disaster plan" every alliance has, that in the event of a serious attack, they withdraw to a DEFENSIBLE constellation or two that are properly set up for defense. No one seems to do this, and it doesn't make sense, because once fighting is confined to a smaller area, numerical advantage is greatly reduced and the defender has the upper hand because they are fighting at home vs an enemy with a drawn out logistical train...

BoB "retreated" to a sensible defensive constellation, and fought everyone out, and retook 2 more regions.
Yet plenty of coalition members still make fun of them for doing so.
At this point it doesn't matter if any of those alliances hole up in a system or constellation somewhere. They are second rate alliances and as such don't stand a chance in hell anyways.
Second rate carebear alliances don't deserve space in 0.0 Everyone should thank BoB for taking it away from them. |

The mistake is more to do with the fact that neither placed much value for their pvpers or even industry. Most of their focus was on personal gain insted of creating a kick ass industry base that could fuel a war machine. Too many people only playing for their own wallets insted of working as a alliance. |

Never a truer word spoken with the fail that comes in most corps and alliances.
PvP and industry work hand in hand, without one there is no other.... Even the PvE'rs have to purchase ships after people like Tnilf lose them out perma ratting <3
I'm rather proud of Lo****being a Heretic, atleast he has the balls to stand up and voice an opinion and ask a few questions...
He doesnt cower and run off somewhere bigger and supposedly better so he can fill his pockets with npc iskies and do little else to contribute to a corp or alliance.
Thank god those people ended up in Morsus Mihi etc...

Now this makes a lot of sense, we saw with BoB the same thing, but they fell back to Delve and held on....look at Morsus Mihi as well, they aren't spread out, they are in Tribute and it is well fortified. It is gonna be defended with a POS infrastructure that will take many many months just to make a dent in it. Do you think the GBC can sustain a conquest that long away from their homes? And we have to remember that BoB is a long ways from home, leaving themselves prone to attack. With their capfleet so far from Delve, could we see a powerhouse rise up to attack Delve and force BoB back to its Southern stronghold? Could this be the opportunity for Goons to go in and create havoc and headaches for BoB....I mean afterall it was BoB who said they would rid Eve of Goonswarm, yet Goons are still here and still the largest alliance as far as population. This could be "dining in Nol Part 2" with a surprise attack and BOB not prepared to defend immediately. Either way, we cannot say what will happen, we can just sit back and watch all the fun being had. Vale is being fought for by many enemies and allies, large scale battles and skirmishes are being had on a daily basis to take and defend systems. Both sides seem to be enjoying the pvp reguardless of the outcomes of the fights. The biggest question left is what will sovreignty be when its all over and who will be left standing as victors, losers, and pets. Yes I say pets because it seems that Triumvirate has reduced itself from being a single entity fighting for it's own cause with no allies to being a pet fighting under the BoB/GBC banner. Reguardless of the Hydra downfall, Pure still holds strong and I personally feel will go down fighting for every last POS with every last ship they have. Morsus Mihi is dug in and will also fight to the end..win lose or draw. Even if they lose Tribute they will remain proud of the way they defended against the odds and will just rebuild to retake what is theirs. So everyone grab some popcorn, sit back and watch the killboards, CAOD, or go join in the fights. Either way this is gonna be epic. |

Pure certainly have extended their lines quite a bit. It will be interesting to see which region is more important to them: Deklein or Vale? Under what I understand is intense pressure from both Bob/Friends in Dek and Tri in Vale, it seems an untenable position to hold them both. Although, to be fair, if Tri wants Vale they're going to have to kill a hell of a lot of poses to take it. lol.
I know. I used to live there. lol.
A big o7 To all the friends and wingmates in Pure. It was fun. Also a big o7 to Tri... you guys smack far too much in here but you can fight like bastards. lol.
