OK, I accidentally purchased a 5-run BPC for these from the LP store. Not a problem, I think to myself, surely I can sell these and make a bit of profit. I do a quick check on contracts... and discover, to my horror, that there isn't a single contract up for them. "How can that be," I ask myself, "the caldari launchers have such great stats, surely their railguns are good, too."
Here's where my confusion starts: I boot up EFT, and try fitting some of the CN guns on a Rokh. EFT shows that the faction guns do *less* damage than T2 guns. So I used the compare tool in eve, but that shows that the t2/CN guns have an identical damage mod. When I right-click the guns in EFT, it shows that the t2 launchers have a higher damage mod with all skills @ V. But without skills, it shows what the compare tool in eve does.
So my question is: is EFT wrong? Seems odd that it would make a mistake like that. Or is there something I don't know about damage calculation on guns?
p.s anyone want to buy 5 CN 350mms? Real cheap... :p

ROF on al 350mm railguns is identical (and skills that reduce it effect all railguns). I specifically mentioned the damage mod in EFT :P --

Caldari Navy guns offer better optimal, Gallente Navy are those with the better damage mod.

The Railgun Spec only affects t2 variants... it doesnt affect t1, named or faction stuff (If I got that right...)

Specialization on guns adds damage, not ROF.

Indeed, T2 guns does get a 2% dmg / lvl from the specialisation skill.
Use the Navy guns only for easier fittings, cap use, lower skills requirement, pimp factor and such.

Okay, it adds 2% damage/level... 2% rof/level = launcher
