This is the official description for this skill:
"Operation of energy transfer array and other energy emission systems. 5% reduced capacitor need of energy emission weapons per skill level."
Currently I'm not flying in any fleets or anything where transferring energy to someone else would be useful. I just want to be able to use my nos and neutralizers well on my own. I trained this to level III because it was a prerequisite for tech II neutralizers.
My question is, do nos and neutralizers then count as "other energy emissions systems", where training this skill to 4 or 5 would benefit me? Or, was training this to III a "just because" prerequisite for me to get the tech II neutralizers.
The wording of the skill is confusing because nos and neutralizers drain energy: they don't emit energy.

I'm pretty sure NOS and Neuts fall under electronic warfare somewhere. Like you said they don't emit energy, just drain it.
I dunno what skill is related to them exactly, though.

Energy Emission Systems level 3, minimum needed for example:
Large energy transfer array I: 287.3 cap to activate, grants target 270 cap. Heavy energy neutralizer I: 425 cap to activate, drains 500 cap from target
EES level 5:
LETA I: 253.5 cap to activate, still 270 to target. HEN I: 375 to activate, still 500 from target.
Training EES to a higher level reduces the cap drain on your own capacitor. Nosferatu is NOT affected by this skill, despite it being a pre-requisite.

Well - it is, but it reduces the zero cap it takes on activation by a percentage, meaning it takes zero cap regardless.
