How do you manage your CORP hangars?
I have several roles and one is officers. They have query and take rights from officer hangar and all other common hangars. I use station containers and lock items inside, if they are valuable - example ships. Normal member can ask officer to unlock item and deliver it to member's hangar. But here comes the problem...
My officers cannot unluck these even with a password. They keep getting a error message.
Is there a bug or what role/right should I give my officers to unlock items inside a container?

You might need to give them "take" from a container permission on the hanger? I think unlocking a container is effectively viewed as removing it from the hanger (from an EVE permissions perspective).
You might be opening up a security hole there though... Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |

Just to add, have you considered a "Blueprint hanger" and locking them down with a vote? Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |

Edited by: Radon Vlamirek on 26/08/2008 10:09:02 I have two unused hangars, but I want to save them for later use. If possible I don't want to give anyone (except director) take container access. If I give that access to my officers they can take the whole can, repacket it and take all without unlocking, and the worst thing is that I cannot have any log who took it.
This sucks... Hmm... Only way to do this is to make another hangar for officers with take access and query for other members. Officers will then move stuff from unlocked cans to member hangar. Hmm.. And director needs to have another hangar and officer's only query... Twice the work for director and CEO who have more important things to do.
They way unlocking/lock works now makes nosense to me. If you can take whole can, why even bother to use locking?!?

To take stuff from a Audit Container in a Hanger you need the following roles.
If the item is unlocked in the Container you need the Appropriate Hanger Take Permission. To remove the Container you need 'Container Take' for that hanger. If the item is Locked in the container you need 'Configure Equipment' to unlock it. You can then take it if you have the Appropriate Hanger Take permission.
the Log on the Container Record ALL locks and unlocks (and the item in the stack count at the time of the action), the do not record add and removals from the Container.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, I'll reread the documentation and see if it is in there as I don't think I've come across it before.
One oddity I have come across is this:
1: Station Container is set to unlocked on PC1 by player1 2: Player2 on PC1 puts an item in said station container and it gets locked 3: Player2 checks the config and said container is locked, player2 unlocks 4: Player 1 or player2 checks the config on PC2 and it is locked
It seems that some of the Container config settings are cached locally rather than server side? Is that intentional or should I /bug it? Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |
