It's not about the fittings you moron, it's about how good the fight was. How about the fact it was a faction battleship with a total cost around the 1 Billion mark went up against a whole gang and nearly won? Click Related mails and see just how well the mega actually did before it went down. I bet that's one of the best fights a pilot could ever hope to have in EVE nowadays.

EDIT: Well its not just that is it. What about the fact it was 7vs1. I'm willing to bet they only got caught because they werent expecting the overloaded Domi web.
PS. The best thing about this whole killmail is the absence of a Falcon.

You caught a Sleipnir and a Raven at a safespot in a T2 fitted tempest then a Mega warped in towards the end of the fight? Probably after the sleipnir popped?

Alright guys, to clarify a few things: I went into this fight with the knowledge that I would most likely not win. I deliberately jumped into reschard unscouted chasing Bruised Moon's 3 man gang, knowing einherjar rising was prowling about. I went in falconless because shooting people who don't shoot back isn't nearly as much fun, although mostly because my falcon was 25 jumps away . What can I say, sometimes you just need a cluster**** death in a hail of gunfire to stir up some fun.
Now for some specifics about the fight. The einherjar rising malediction (first one) had me tackled on the alparena gate in reschard. He was holding his point at 25km. Since longterm overloading of his scram was unlikely, I figure it was accurate to assume it was faction of some kind. He was orbiting at 5+km/s, me being on the gate. Bruised Moon's geddon, along with his corpmates in both a harbinger and a hurricane were all sub-10km from myself. I decided to make a gamble at this point, which in retrospect, was most likely the reason I did not infact win the fight. I decided to try and escape, get a quick look at the situation (eyes in neighbouring systems, etc.) and ultimately engage on MY terms. I waited until the malediction was directly in front of me, after having aligned to merco gate on the opposite end of the system. I anticipated his orbit's swinging around to my rear, overloading the mwd and burning hard in an alignment to the merco gate, in an attempt to slingshot him out of scram range. Hoping he would read this and attempt to correct by making a careless orbit adjustment or even pressing approach in order to hold his point, I had my web overloaded and ready with null loaded. Unfortunately, although it happened as I'd planned, and I did in fact get a web on him, he skipped out too quickly for me to hit him, and compensated too quickly for me to get out of scram range. I kind of got shafted by heat, my microwarpdrive hitting 70% damage after 2 overloaded cycles, and despite my attempt to stop it from offlining after shutting it down immediately after the second cycle finished, I was left with a dead mwd. Lucky me.
So here I was, 80km+ off the gate, meaning also 80+ km from the tachyon geddon. **** me right? Considering I was stuck at 120 m/s, right. As long as the malediction was holding his point, I would ultimately die. Right on cue, the ENH backup arrived, although in somewhat less spectacular numbers than usual. Immediately, I had the hurricane from BruisedMoon's gang burning towards me, as well as his corpmates harb, another ENH malediction, as well as an ENH sleipnir and zealot.
Now, mistake number 2. This was truly stupid, although expected considering how much shit had just hit the fan in such a short time. The sleipnir and zealot burned hard towards be, most likely eager to get on my death mail. They were so eager that they sailed happily right up my Navy Mega's shiny, smooth, jet black ass. I locked the zealot, virtually instapopping him; not realizing that he hadn't aggroed yet. Well done temp. So now, of all things, I had sentries on me. Luckily the zealot popped so fast, that I was able to web the sleipnir before he could escape my vast web range. He was at 11km or so and moving away slowly, my guns not hitting him very hard considering I had reloaded faction AM. Nonetheless, it was hard enough that I popped him in about 30-40 seconds. I then proceeded to lay a massive shit on the hurricane, which crumpled rather quickly.
After that, I tanked for 3 minutes or so, unable to really do anything since everyone was too damn far away. The slow ass harb had been slowboating towards me, being far off the gate, for the duration of the fight. When I hit about 70% structure, I managed to web him and get him to 15km. I unloaded everything I could, given how far away he was, and how little time I had left. When I popped, he was in low armor. Shame. Luckily my pod escaped, thank god.

Ran out of space. I just wanted to say though, good fight to all those involved; not being cautious like I usually am cost me a whole lot of isk, but it was the most fun I've had in a long time, so it was worth every penny. Thankfully, it wasn't a cripping blow. You'll be pleased (or displeased?) to hear that "Back in Black"'s successor is ready to lay down a WHOLE lot more pain.
R.I.P. Back in Black
Also, since some people requested some numbers and stats on the ship, here they are:
Note: these are with MY skills and implants
61K Armor HP (245,000 Effective HP) <--- Jumps to 70K Armor HP (290,000 Effective HP) with gang bonuses, which I have 99% of the time (didn't have em during the fight)
1550 DPS (Guns Overloaded + Drones) 1400 DPS (Guns + Drones)

The tackling interceptors (of which the malediction is one) get a bonus to scram range. That speed and that range is completely reachable by a cheapo t2 fit inty. -- I'm done whining about AFs, it looks like they are making them right \o/ |

Him being closer would not have made any difference in your case anyway, ions + faction heavy neut for the next one? I'd never fly a Neutron Thron solo exactly for what happened to you, a bit too many readily available counters. -- I'm done whining about AFs, it looks like they are making them right \o/ |

Man... thats the fight just how it happend... good job dude!
We sat off the gate and watched for a moment, I was hoping to funnel him into merco, knowing that my 3 man gang couldnt take him alone... One jump from merco my prayers were answered and here comes an inty on the tackle.
At first I thought it might have been a trick, This dude has a reputation in our area for being pretty shafty. So I waited... and he started to move off the gate which made me even more causios.
As soon as he aggressed I told my dudes to engadge, at which pointed i opend fire. My dude in the hurricane was told several times not to get to close, that he couldnt handle a blasterthron... hmmm... not listening to the FC FTL!
All in all it was a really good fight! I am upset a bit that it was a bit one sided but yeah it was an awesome fight!
He could have won that fight or at least got away safely. As he stated a couple careless mistakes cost him!
We didnt get any of the loot after that, I was to concerned with getting my guys out of there not sure what was gonna happen next after he popped haha!

Clearly you never fly a gank mega solo because you always die in your fail ass setups. Below is a prime example.

It's a RR gang mega definitely not a gank mega, and remote rep came too late because I used it to bait with support too far, lasted 90 sec under two gank mega fire still. But should have refitted as pure bait in this particular instance.
