Setting long and short term goals and achieving them. Like when I got all attributes to 20 and when I became able to fly a hulk. Plus feeling like my contributions to the corp however little they might be get noticed and appreciated by someone. It's really the people that I can say will keep me in this game in the long run.

What motivates me?
The fact that everytime I log into the game I know I'm not falling behind others because the pretty skills train even when I'm not playing the game. This allows me to relax and enjoy the game, doing different things each day.

I think what motivates me most is crushing egos. I'm not the biggest, baddest person out there. I do however enjoy thoroughly thrashing those who claim they are.

trying out different things and seeing how it works out
like i've never done exploration so i have an alt that is doing it now
figuring out all the little ins and outs of whatever activity - this takes a lot of play time to not just engage in activity but try to be good at it
then there's the fun factor of being in a good corp and some satisfaction derived from completing skill levels

Collecting more stuff. Yep, I'm one of those.
And gaining more skills. But mostly more stuff. WAY too many skill points spent in Spaceship Command
