This would be great, also make it a way to store templates in a corp hanger, so you can give them out to corp mates, would make things so much easier, than saving eve-mails with loadouts in the corp eve-mail area.

Tush, could create a new item called fittings container in which you put your setup modules. R-click on the mod, and fit to active ship.

On the topic of Database stress:
This would be no different from selecting a bunch of unpackaged modules, right clicking, and choosing "Fit to active ship" which has the effect of fitting your ship all at once, and is usually low on lag.
The disadvantage of what you can already do is that modules must already be unpackaged (ie seperate stacks), so you still have to browse your hangar to find the ones you want. -- Your bad loan management perfectly strikes the stock market, wrecking for -777.68 points. |

And to those chatting about databases... So? This sort of thing only happens when you're docked! Who cares if you have to wait 5 seconds while a database updates and your ship is set up for you! Just have an 'Templates' menu on each ship, with the options 'Save Template', and then a series of templates that you name yourself. If you then click to open a template, your ship will fit as per that template using all available mods in your hanger, which may result in empty slots, and you realise you bought 3 WCS instead of 4!

You can set it up just like a blueprint run. Use the instruction sheet as a blueprint, punch in how many runs/ships you want to fit and it removes the items from your hangar and starts the job like any other one. I think in order for balance doing it this way would actually take longer than if you did it manually but it frees up that pilot to be doing other things. It also seems like doing it this way would lessen the server load.
After all we are supposed to be super rich pod pilots, I shouldn't have to fit my own ship I have people to do that for me.
Absolutely AWSEOME - well thought out and within game mechanics AND makes sense from an "in game" perspective!
I Salute you sir! O7!

Yes, it is a great idea for the instruction sheets to act like blueprints if producing many fitted ships - indeed sir, was included in the written up proposal that I had submitted :P

Good idea, although I fail to see why it would need a drawback of any kind. It should simply be part of the fitting UI.
