- Guerrilla Fighters: These guys recognized how the fad was causing their profession of hit-and-run tactics to be overused, and thus, losing it's effect. They are well versed in picking targets and odds, and nano ships were just one means of doing so. Many are pirates or mercenaries by profession, or some of the new FW units. They support the nerf because they know that it won't kill their tactics, but will stop them from being so popular.
- Caldari Pilots: The ultimate stereotype, these guys have the largest playerbase, and the majority of that playerbase are mission runners and missile users. And when you can't hit your target with those wonderful NPC-killing missiles, and your ships are generally as slow as Cadari, nano's seem like the worst idea imaginable. What they really wanted was a boost to their missile skills, but slowing the rest of the ships down so that they can get a shot in now and again suits them just fine.
- Adapt or Die: Playing both sides of the fence, they are already getting ready for the next change. Maybe they didn't enjoy flying nano, or maybe they recognized that nano's were too prevalent on the battlefield. So when they saw the dev blog, they were already up-in-arms and willing to move onto the next flavor of the month.
- Also Ignorant Newbs: Not the same fake nano-pilots from the other team, these guys were taught from forum jockeys and local channel that nano pilots were invincible and unbeatable. They believe that a nano ship is the next best thing to god, and would **** themselves if they ever ran into an Arbitrator in low sec, thinking they are facing the horribly overpowered curse. Drop a word like 'Vaga' in channel, and watch their rehearsed opinions come out.
- Balance Monkeys: (I fall into this broad category) With their own preconcieved notions of how the game SHOULD work, these guys freely offer their own opinions, sometimes very crazy and odd ones, whenever a change is proposed. Some even want change for the sake of change, not really caring on which leg this supposed 'balance' is standing on. Others recognize that the nerf won't kill nano's, but will kill the pure amount of so-called nano pilots.
wrong category.
