Why does Eve appear twice?
Once as "EVE Online" and once as "EVE: Online -- Trinity"

I used to notice this, but I think I did a re-install of Vista and EVE, I now only have a single entry as "EVE Online".
You could uninstall EVE and get the latest full client download and re-install - may fix the problem (or see if you can right click the one icon for Trinity and remove it).

It should only appear once. If you find out what steps are needed to get two icons, then please send us a bug report.

i Always get 2 as well the steps i take to reproduce this bug are to install eve

Which version? That is, after you run the installer, at which build number is the client before any extra patches to the latest version? Which OS are you using?

Vista x64 and the clients i have installed recently are trinity on release and empyrean age client for full clients and the patches in between major client releases. they have all always put 2 icons in the game explorer.

You can right click on one of them and take hide. Dosn't Vista put one there by itself, one includes all PEGI info (for Europeans), Recommended System classification, you can access eve-online.com and safe mode by right click. The other icon is just a regular icon with no special features.
I've seen this problem in several cases, Steam keeps gving me a CS icon even though I dosn't even have bought it on Steam. If I install one version of Guild Wars it keeps giving me icons for one of the other versions etc.
