Edited by: Pithecanthropus on 11/07/2008 20:41:35 You can blame the AFK cloakers in 0.0 for that one... CCP didn't want FW to be more of the same lame tactics. Oh, and the navy too... you have to be vulnerable. But hey, just leave militia, dec a corp of your choice in the hostile militia, and proceed to gank and grief without the fear. Yeh nanos are amazing and never take damage. I fly them all the time and have died once as they are impervious to damage

Actually nubcake, this has always been the case. If you have negative sec status or negative standing to a faction you cannot cloak in their space. Always been that way. Assumption of Risk |

This seems rather lame.
WTF is he talking about? I know that CONCORD can decloak people and they have many other exploits that make them completely unbalanced against the players. But we sort of accept that.
But factions? why should factions get any special advantages?
My main concern is that people will lose ability to cloak in 0.0 space controlled by alliances.

Basicly, navies are very much like rats. Which means that even if cloak was allowed the navies would just spawn close to you and approach you untill they're close enough to decloak you. Then you're screwed either ways. ---

No. You click your cloak in enemy highsec, and it tells you that the enemy navy is disrupting your cloaking device. Even if you're safespotted. I was hoping of sneaking around in a recon ship, but meh ;( ---------------------------------------------

It would be a terrible thing if people, signing up for PVP content, were actually put into danger.
TBH nerf guns in FW. Someone might get hurt.
All those griefers are ruining your ability to pretend to know about PVP, while still cowering in highsec behind the faction navies.

Where is the device these navies use and how do I get one?
I bet it's hidden in the same warehouse as the amarr wtfsolopwnmobile superweapon.

maybe its a bug
Heres my idea..... Each faction gets a new battlecruiser They are Survivor class. They are extremely effective tanks, can be used for baiting, tanking 0.0 complexes, etc. But they have a price. Here are the pros (per level of Survivors skill): +50% bonus to shield (or armor) amount 50% reduction in shield recharge time (for caldari passive t2 drake) 50% reduction in repair module capacitor need (for armor reppers) 50% bonus to shield boost amount (for active shield tanks)
But as with all this gain comes some hard hitting cons. -75% to turret tracking -75% to missile launcher rate of fire +75% to reload time of modules +75% to turret rate of fire.
Basically this ship is a solid tank, but a poor poor hitter.
