Or have your cyno alt right click on the little triangle next to fleet, and have him broadcast jump beacon, then right click on that and jump to it.

Player A (capital ship) Player B (ship with Cynosural Field generator fitted + liquid ozone in cargo)
Get both players in fleet together and have Player B activate his cyno. Once activated Player A can then Right-click Player B in fleet chat and select "jump to"
A good tip is to have Player B "broadcast jump beacon" as described in an above post.
Limitations include distance, jump fuel in cap ship cargo as well as the fact that cyno fields cannot be created in 0.5 - 1.0 systems (0.0 - 0.4 only).
I can recommend Jumpplanner for those who wish to calculate fuel consumption and distances.
Hope this clears up things for you.

isn't there some in-game window that shows gang members or maybe available cynos in gang, and how many LY distance they are?
seriously, CCP needs to make something in-game that at least allows one to plan a cyno chain. nobody should be required to use a third party website just to travel... ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |

You could claim the same about a skill training planner, or a fitting tool. My point is, why should CCP focus time on it when there are applications that get the job done so well?

well i guess even if they did, it would probably not come close to the quality and detail of the 3rd party apps. so why bother eh?
my point is that CCP is not providing enough useful in-game support to even play it effectively, and the playerbase has to support itself instead. there is some amount of that in just about every game, but a much larger amount than normal in EVE. ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.

You know, everyone who has ever flown a capital flew a capital for the first time. And given the inadequate documentation this game has, the only way to learn how to do things like this are to ask around. Not *everyone* lives in a large alliance that includes people capable of answering this sort of question. So, while it's possible this character was bought, why not give the benefit of the doubt, and imagine the possibility that the question was legit?
It's really not very intuitive; I know I had no clue how to jump a capital until a corp-mate told me how (which was after I aquired a capital ship, since I didn't have a reason to ask about it before then).

To be perfectly honest, the first time I got in mine I sat there stumped for a second. When you're a cap pilot already it seems second nature, but when you have someone who has never had to do it before they have to figure it out. Still though, it is pretty obvious. ________

Thanks Schani Kratnorr and thanks every one for the answers. It is much clear now. I knew it took another pilot to make the cyano but I wasn't sure how to proceed in order to jump. I was wondering also ... does permanent cyano exits in space? Where every body can always jump to or do we need an atl at all cost? Also I think module for post can make the cyano point as long as the pos have enough fuel.
P.S No I didn't bought my character from ebay or sell GTC for ISK. I just don't play that often and it's my first capital ship.

If you are in an alliance that has Sov 3 then that alliance can place Cyno Generators on a pos in the systems, along with placing Jump Bridges that allow you to bypass systems, however, this ONLY works if you are in an alliance with Sov level 3 in 0.0.

Agree! This game is just full of idiots! More busy flaming and making a complete ass out of people, instead of just answering the question and help the person!
I am so getting fed up with all this! You know that the players make the community, but can also break it!
All these morons flaming the OP are very busy breaking the community!
EVE Online is a very complex game, so not one of the most complex sandbox MMO's out there! So yes people ask questions!
For one some questions sound stupid, but for others it isn't and very genuine!
Cheers

I recently bought a black-ops (who-ho) and I had to search the forums (using Google) to find the answer to the same question as the OP. CCP do indeed need better documentation. ---------------- Mr. Science & Trade Institute |

Ignore the numpties, I took out a carrier for the first time the other day, and I still had to ask corpmates about the finer details of the cyno jump. With such an investment of skill training and ISK, I'd rather ask and know 100% then muck it up. -- 2d EveMaps My blog
