Personally, from a design point of view the auction page is just too cluttered. I dont know where to look for the important information. Im left scouring the page for things :P

This is a really nifty site yo got cooking up here. Me and my buddies will try some sales on their to see how it goes. Also i thought of a few bits u could add that would be nice, such as Item Location, as one would probably like to know which side of the galaxy that new ship hes about to bid on is. Aswell as possibly a way to link the items to the Eve item database, so u can look up stats and such.
Definitly has alot of potential, Great work and i hope to see it catch on soon.

Okay so you dont actually hold any of the items on your site but its up to the two players (buyer and seller) to make the formal contract, am I right?
Im not affiliated with Ebank, only a customer, however there site is here . The mention of the paypal plan can be found here.
The thing about the Ebank reminds me of an other site Biggest MMO scam ever
But if anyone ever wanted me to hold items for them and sell them i would not mind it and i am a trust worthy guy i would just take a small percentage of the final sale price.
Yeah...I never heard that before.

Ok so if you guys have not seen i was advertising in the "other" channel with the corny ads
"Having trouble selling your crap? need some help? Go to eve-bay where we care about your crap." "Tired of all your sell orders being run over by spam? tired of not making any money? Come to eve-bay to connect you with your buyer."
And someone said "eve-bay.net more like you-suck.net" my response "tired of not being able to come up with a good insult? Just not your day? Go to eve-bay and place a want ad for a better personality."

Edited by: Azeusus on 09/07/2008 10:58:23 i Think the basics are there but at the same time you need some guidance on the business growth aspects. You seem to have some solid technology behind the site however you need to grow the user base and popularity of the site to make it a venture worth dedicating hours on end to.
I would suggest you investigate the below points:
- work with local traders / manufacturing corps to advertise there offerings on the site. - Promote the advantages of the site over current methods more. - Remove the site fees for the interim until you have established a user base. - Look at simplifying the registration requirements - Utilise more of the API for authentication - Get some EVE images imported for item selection. - Clear the front page of the site more to allow easier reading - Get an Identity, Eve-Bank has one now as a solid financial product, as does Chribba, if you can create a brand you are already half way there.
Benifits your site offers are really good:
- I can bid and buy on open auctions while at work! - I can view manufacturing offers accross the entire universe without needing the be located in that region. - A seller doesnt need to play the 0.01 game via your site \o/ - Faction pieces can have more of a real market to them instead of the current hoping you click the right page on the WTS forum.
In essence i think you have a product, but i think you need alot more work before coming to the population of eve. To get the buyin from the punters you need to hit them with a "must have" product.
I would be happy to help where i can, just let me know in game :)

You have more options, you can do things from home or work. You can also post want ads. And have you ever tried looking for a specific item on the forum? its almost imposable. And there is no rating system and there is 1000's of scammers you can never tell as with my service you have a the ability to tell everyone else if they suck and need to be podded. With the store feature you can create custom end dates if you need to post something up for a long time. There is plenty of good stuffs you can do. :)
FYI server back up

Lol Ok is that is true then any website with "bay" at the end of it get sued i guess we would be out of 10's of thousands of other website, like greenbay.com ect. Its not copyright infringement to have "bay" in my website name.
I work in the web business I should know.

I dont understand what all the negativity towards this idea is coming from. Its basicly an out of game contract system that displays goods and services that you might not otherwise be able to see due to being at work, downtime, expansion pack, etc.
This system certainlly has some small issues that need to be ironed out, namely certain aspects of the registration process need to be removed and others added to make it more inline with Eve however as time progresses hopefully the guy will do just that.
The biggest advantage I see this has is the fact that merchants can finally build a reputation instead of having to blindly compete with others in the contract and market system. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:
Players who post are like stars, there are bright ones and those who are dim.

I just a bid a buy-out on a 1.5b mod. Sent private message in the system to teh seller to contract to my alt. Going to sleep now but if that mod is really there when I wake up then this service gets a thumbs up from me.
