I'm been looking for a solid answer for this as well. My guess was that you could find complexes in your own system and capture them.
But /bump for a more informed answer. |

If a system in your enemy millita is Un-Contested all you need to do is take the some plexes.
To make a system vunerable (from what ive heared) Each system has a random amount of Plexes/Victory points needed to become vunerable. Around 50+ plexes (iirc). As soon as you capture the last plex giving you enought Vistory points the system will become vunerable.

I dont think i was clear enough with my question, heres the scenario: My home system is caldari state, which is currently contested. Is there a way to 'un-contest' it? Ive tried the plex scanning thing and have found nothing, spent close to an hour scanning. --------------------------------------- Popping your Polycarb'd Vaga - 250 million Podding you with your fancy Snake Set - 600 million Contracting your corpse back to you for a bil - priceless |

Well, my Calamari friend, the number of plexes per constipation is fixed. So you have to go to nearby solar systems, find complexes in them and hope that when you capture them one will spawn in the system which you wish to crush under the jackboot of the totalitarian Caldary state.

You cant. Systems are either occupied, offensive, or defensive, if i understand correctly. It will remain contested until faction warfare ends.

Not exactly, a system only becomes contested once the enemy faction has succesfully attacked and captured at least one plex in it, when you then defend enough plexes in that same system it reverts back to un-contested. the system information will show a system as contested, lost or occupied, but does not show any message when it's uncontested. |

Yes, we have one even if there are some typos left around that would need to be corrected. I will poke people in the eyes with a burnt stick to have this fixed as soon as possible.
To answer the question, the defending faction can put the system back into an "un-contested" mode by winning FW complexes there.
It all depends if there are complexes left to be won in the system since they are spread around in the whole constellation; as such, you may have to win some in the neighboring areas before having new ones spawning in the desired place.

If you want to 'un-contest' your own systems, it is easiest to get an alt-spy into the opposing faction, scan out a complex and then go with your main and defend the just found complex.
The alt-spy is necessary because you cannot find complexes of your own faction in your own systems. |

You can easily find new unopened complexes in your own space, just go in and help the NPCs hold it till the timer's gone. |
