i lose all online status. and have to reboot my wireless usb port, and run a chksdsk. it was fine, and i have never had such problems with eve, the status of the online marker is showing the pc is connected, but it is not, it works, fine as long as i dont conect to eve. i have deleted every thing on my pc where it says eve. and trying to reinstall from a old copy now.
im running Xp Please resize signature to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] ~Saint |

Edited by: Neth''Rae on 26/06/2008 17:26:16 You'd probably get these problems even if you didn't install the patch, the patch can also be removed.. but I doubt it's the cause of your issues.. this issue...

I've had this issue from day one when I started playing last year. I would play and after 10 minutes or longer, as it varies, I would loose connection.
What I have found to work for me is to have the ping plotter program running in the background pinging the Eve server. With this going, I don't have any disconnect problems, unless something occurs in the England area. (which has happened three times, and pingplotter looses connection with the last 3 to 4 hops to the Eve servers).
I'm connecting from southern Minnesota, USA, on Hickorytech DSL.
Strange? Yes, but it works for me.

My god...it's almost as if there are other factors affecting the connection to the EVE server.
Some kind of interconnected network, perhaps. An internetwork, or internet, if you will. --------------- Originally by: CCP Prism X Hey I have an idea: "Let's not endure any more of your spam for the weekend!" Enjoy your time away from our forums.

Well, if you're "100% sure" it has "something" to do with the patch, then just remove the optional patch. "General Settings", middle column at the bottom.
