4 Fights
Due to being fairly new to flying with Logistics, we decided that the Basilisks were the easiest to run. We have a bunch of Guardians, and Scimitars, but this when you have limited numbersGG*the Basi is a no brainer.
Fight 1 Gang one was our friends from Darkside. They came through in a gang slightly smaller than the one they had yesterday. I donGGVt think they were as prepared for this fight as they were the prior day.
We were a little low on DPS, but our FC was doing fairly well with switching targets, they only made one mistake and that was AB fitting their sole scimitar. We managed to get a web and point on him and that was our only kill. They were a little too fast for us, but we did not take any losses. I can live with that. KILLS 1 LOSSES 0
Fight 2 The second gang was a gang with no logistics but a ton of DPS, they had 11 Hurricanes, 1 Falcon, 1 Claymore, Couple tackle. We didnGGVt have much DPS; we arrived with 3 Basilisks, Raven, Tempest, Hurricane, 2 Drake, and Cerberus. Overall we had the advantage again even though they had us on DPS.
They put their ECM drones on one of our Atridies, so it was just Sygma repairing Omar. I overheated repairers, and but Omar was starting to break. We called for the smart bombs to clear their ECM drones and once that was done, Atridies managed to get his cap chain backup. With all 8 Reps on Omar, we pulled him out at 10% Shields. It was a really fun fight. KILLS 8 LOSSES 0
Fight 3 We got a little cocky, we saw a 3 Megathron gang with 4 Onerios. Although we had an idea to neut one out and kill the secondGG*we couldnGGVt manage enough DPS to pull it off. Besides, the signature radius of an Onerios is too small. It was a tactic that I was not overly comfortable with and probably something we should try on the test server before we do that again. KILLS 0 LOSSES 3
Fight 4 Darkside brought back 4 Scimitars, 12 Oracles, 2 Huginns, 1 Lachesis. We had 5 of 11 afk. We docked back up, and lived to see another day. KILLS 0 LOSSES 0
Since this fight, we have had 5 more killable gangs roll throughGG*we are all afk. DAMN IT. Lol

Frigate fleets are a BLAST
Cal 7 had been scouting around like the boss he is, finding targets where there are no targets, and finding trouble where there was trouble to be had. I picked the original destination as JMH because there was a blip on the map. We found a couple targets but they POSGGVd up like a good bot. We headed over to a different system that had carriers in complexes, but they got out before Cal could exit their bubbles on gate.
We decided to head to see what was up in D87 because there were some blips on the screen over there. While traversing the 11 jumps Cal said to warp to the outboundGG*we obliged, he said pointing a HurricaneGG*the Hurricane of course jumped in to our smiling faces. It took a week but we managed to kill the bastard. Although we lost a Crow in the fight, A Drake came in 2 minutes later and we took him down as well.
http://www.appetite4destruction.net/killboard/?a=kill_related&kll_id=31765
We decided since we still had 10 frigates left we would continue to see what 3B was doing in D87. While en route, a Drake landed on the out gate as I didGG*I called point and told everyone else to not aggressGG*the Drake jumped and the beat down was on. Since I was agressed on the other side, I saw local go from 1 to 11. I let the guys know of the new information and they continued attacking the drake. Since our DPS was limited it was slow going. As the Enemy ships entered scan range we realized they had 3 Scimitars, 3 Drakes, 2 Jaguars, 2 Cloakies. Due to the Scimitars, the gang peeled off the Drake with no kills or losses.
These shmucks decided to chase us by using the Drake only thinking that we may engage the Drake for some reason when we knew what they had. I have no idea what they were thinkingGG*but we surmised that they were too ******** to fly a spaceship. I could have swore I heard their FC say. GG#I can count to Potato!GG%. Either way, they were easy to slip as they were GG#SpecialGG%GG*once again we were en route to D87.
FINALLY a full 20 minutes later we were at our destinationGG*home of the 3B. For a little background, 3B is a similar group to usGG*they fight anything that comes by that they think they have a chance of winning against. This time was no different. Cal Jumped in, and tackled a Hurricane, a second shows up. Cal said this one is Armor, so he called the other primary. The shield version went down fairly quick, but by that time, the Armor cane had taken down CalGG*
They warped in a sniping Naga that for some reason shot Cal 7GGVs pod rather than help his friends kill the ships that were around them(that guy needs a **** smack). I called for one of our Dramiels to tackle the Naga, but the Naga warped off. In its place came a Muninn, the Dram managed to tackle the Muninn as we downed the second Hurricane. About that time a Vagabond, landed and TylerJames got a scram on him and we beat him down too.
These guys were determinedGG*they just kept undocking shipsGG*we went up to kill the Muninn but by this time our gang was down to 7 frigatesGG*as soon as the Muninn went down, we tackled a HurricaneGG*there were two on the field by this timeGG*we were slowly eating his shields away as a second third and fourth showed up. We made the call to get out after the cane but I managed to cap myself out and lost my Wolf. It was a really fun fightGG*and although we didnGGVt hold the field it was worth it. Thanks 3B.

I think we will do another one of those tonight. That was fun.

Since I have been sick since Saturday, I havenGGVt really had the energy to go out on any roams. I did manage to scrape together one or two where I was FCGGVing, but since my brain was fuzzy, I decided that Frigates where the theme of the week. We had so much fun fighting 3B, that we mustered up 11 more frigates. We decided that this time we needed 150+ dps before we would take out a frigateGG*at least this way if we ran into a battle cruiser we wouldnGGVt have to wait for a week to knock it down.
Since the epic frigate brawl the other day, our plan was to get in and get outGG*if you were targeted get out, donGGVt take one for the team. In theory this is what all frig battle should be like but sometimes people donGGVt get the memo. Being a CEO I am always reluctant to put other peoples isk at risk. Its not that I fear losingGG*I donGGVt. I have enough isk to last me years in EVE. I am just too lazy to ship new ships down to replace the ones we lost. Isk is cheap, my time is not.
We decided to visit 3B again, this time they knew what we hadGG*but I donGGVt think they had enough to pull off what they pulled off the other day. As Hurricanes are expensive, they probably simply didnGGVt want to risk the lossesGG*which I understand. We asked if they wanted to square off, but they declined. They probably needed 4, but only had 2-3 active. No biggie, they fight and I respect them for that. So we meandered down to HED-GP, but we werenGGVt really heading thereGG*as we knew there are usually too many to fight, we wanted to look around SV5 area and see if there were any singles, or gate camps we could harass.
Truis, which hadnGGVt been back in game for a while, was our scoutGG*.like old times, he hawked down a hurricane in SV5, it took us a minute or so but we managed to get the kill with zero losses. It was an armor cane so we were lucky to take no losses. As expected, no one today took one for the team. We then decided to head to Stain, I hadnGGVt been there in a while so I wanted to see who lived thereGG*we set waypoint for 5E, which is on the other side of freaking Eve..but alas, 30 jumps and we found NOTHING. Mental note, Stain sucks asteroids.
We set waypoint back to Litom to drop off Eve Animal Control guys who were nice enough to tag along with us. About the time we got to triple A space, we started picking up a lot of Goon frigates. By this time we were down to about 7 in our gang..a few had logged thus our fleet composition was a little week. We had picked up sight of a few Jaguars, and 11 unknowns, and we knew they were hanging out in the direction we were headingGG*although we wanted to fight, we figured that they may have the upper hand, we decided to throw them off track by warping to a random Celestial and then busting a$$ toward 0SHTGG*we went the back way.
We missed a tackle on a ratting BC, and then went to 3B space againGG*nothing. They werenGGVt active, we popped on over to 8G, to see if we could get a final hurrah against our neutral buddies Art of War, but they werenGGVt active. alas it was midnight and my illness was catching up with me, I was still sick as a dog and we went the 3 jumps home. 80 jumps, 1 Hurricane kill. 0 Losses. ItGGVs not all bad I guess.

Killing is my business and business is GOOOOOOD.
We were talking to our buddy Cal who was running a few level 4GGVs for isk; he let us know of a small fleet camping the HLW gate 4 jumps out. We really didnGGVt know what they had for backup, but we decided it would be easier to leave the logi at home and go with nano just in case we had to get out fast. We brought 2 Tornados, Drake, Cynabal, Omen, Hurricane and Thorax (I know, someone didnGGVt get the memo on nano)
We knew they had at least 4 battle cruisers and were doing crap all damage to Cal who was orbiting the HLW gate at 500 in a Tengu. We sent in the Hurricane and the Thorax, we thought two wouldnGGVt alert them, but would allow us to have multiple warp scramblers on the field. Tackles were made and we warped the short warp from HLW, although the rest of their gang warped. 2 Kills 0 Losses
On the way back, we ran into an Art of War gang that had 4 Falcons, 4 Blackbirds, 7 Griffins. We took a pass on that one. Screw that shite. They were shooting us from afar but had nothing up close to tackle. We went the two jumps home.
Within 4 minutes our Intel channel was blinking, and there was 5 camping the Sendaya gate in Doril. We decided to take the same fleet. We knew they had 3 BC,s a cruiser and a frigate. We had more than enough this time, Cal brought a Curse we brought a Cyclone, two tornados, and a rupture (didnGGVt get the memo again). Korr EGGVHahnah from Eve Animal Control was in Doril giving Intel with a Falcon.
We warped to Jorund, thinking that we would be warping to the Doril gate..but when we jumped our scout in, we noticed that the bad guys had a scout in Jorund, so we warped to Utopia to try that out. They had no scout. SCORE. We warped our rag tag gang to the gate. We decided that if we flooded local that they would run so we jumped in 4.
When we jumped in we found them sitting on the gate we had just jumped into, they werenGGVt on the Sendaya gate at after all. We started warp scrambling, and managed to get a Harbinger and a Drake. They warped in a sniping cane so we thought he would be aggressed if he warped to a station. We followed him but he was at a perch.
They had a Claymore on station giving bonuses, so we engaged. They then undocked a Abaddon, and then a Damnation. We lit into the Abaddon and toon him down right before 4 more undockedGG*we fought back and forth eventually taking down a Omen Navy Issue. Cal lost his Curse, and Shinob his Rupture. After they decided to use a carrier to rep, and undock a GuardianGG*we decided to exit. Kills 4 Losses 2
That was fun, maybe since I am not sick I will write more battle reports.

I can understand your point, but I write in the first person to give a human perspective from my point of view. The piece that is missing is what my opponent was thinking, doing or countering. In this instance I was the monkey in the Basilisk, keeping my yap shut and my guys alive. I never pretend to be better than anyone, including darkside alliance whom i have great respect for. This was just one instance where we had the numbers to engage one of your smaller fleets resulting in a fun fight and a win
I appreciate you bumping our thread, see you on my overview.

So... we let the Cynabal go.
Our 2 Vengeance's on the Cynabal with unknowns warping in to back him up.
We abort, and our Falcon pilot covered our retreat. Vaga and Drake land but we're already gone, skirts flapping in the wind.
Many bad names were directed at us in local for not having the intestinal fortitude to stand and fight.
We're used to it.
Ten minutes later, that Cynabal was lost to our adversaries in A4D, with enough faction mods on it to post it at over 1 Billion ISK.
Nice work guys..

Since I have been out of town all weekend I decided to jump on line as soon as I could although I had a few hours of family time first. Anyone that is married and plays eve knows there is a fine line between killing internet spaceships and divorce courtGG* Since I like being married, I decided it was in my best interest to watch some really dumb television shows and eat some dinner.
Although I had drained my phone battery multiple times checking the killboard this weekend, I had not gotten a true EVE fix. So around 10PM my time, I managed to squeeze myself on to find corp. a little on the dead side. I guess it had been so successful during the day that most of the guys that play in my time zone had decided to log out for the night. But as luck would have it, Bullmastiff and Cy Pherboi were active and ready to rumble.
Our fleet composition was a bit on the weird side, as we had two Talos and a Cynabal. We had no real rhyme to our reason, other than we needed ships that were moderately speedy and did a lot of damage. Bull had found a new honey hole and wanted to go visit it again. So we popped on over to KOCN and VA6 to see if we could find some targets.
Bull had told me that he had cleared out 7 large bubbles today so he could come back tonight and get his kill onGG*so he was really excited when he jumped in and found 3 retrievers guarded by a Abbadon. The bad thing was, as he was landing in the belt, the last of them warped off. (remove LOCAL FROM GAME NOW).
We then moved on over to KDF to see what we could find, As Bull was narrowing down some more ratters, 1 single blue happened to jump in, warp to the KDF gate, and jump inGG*thus effectively screwing any chance of finding one of the ratters. Not discouraged, we decided to visit Rookie Empire, so we made the quick run through ZXIC, WQH, I-8. As Bull jumped in, an Armageddon was on scan. He tried to find it, but he kept bouncing. We decided to have bull hit the out gate and see if the Armageddon followedGG*he did!
Bull started shooing the geddon, as we warped to his gate, We had Cy Jump stay on the gate while I jumped in. I missed the bump and it was clear that he was going to get back to the gate. Since I had not aggressed I jumped in with the Armageddon. This time we got the bump and took down the geddon. Bull then warped to the out gate, and jumped. On Scan was a Hurricane + 1 unknown.
Bull managed to track down the Hurricane on the GJO gate, and called us in. At the same time, the Canes friend jumped in from GJO with a Zealot. I landed and pointed the Zealot, and put my EC-600GGVs on himGG*unfortunately they didnGGVt catch and Bull went down. Shortly thereafter the Hurricane went down, as I turned to the Zealot, he was burning out, I cycled off my Afterburner and Clicked my MWDGG*I didnGGVt notice that it didnGGVt engage thus losing the Zealot in a FAIL TACKLE. I am not the worlds greatest Dual Prop it seems.
We got wind of a gate camp on our way back home to drop off the loot in Bulls hangar. We went the route of 0SHT and found little issues getting home with our loot intact.

It was unexpected for a Monday night to have that many people online but when I asked if anyone wanted to go out on a Frigate roam, there was a resounding roar of GG#YESGG%. After a couple smoke breaks, bio breaks, and beer run we were formed up. Like always we asked our friends in EAC if they wanted to tag along, and like usual they obliged.
A scout had noticed that our neighbor in WG put up a bubble with a Jag and Prophecy, so we sent cal over to get a tackle. Since Cal was AB fit, the Jag caught him before he could get remotely close to the Prophecy. But unlucky for the jag, Cal had 230 DPS on his Taranis and ate him alive before we could arrive. Cal then managed to get a tackle on the Prophecy, so we got lucky with 2 Kills 0 Losses.
We then decided that we would head over to visit Water bugs, as we landed on the CL gate we did a final check of fleet composition, ammo check, Nanite check, all was good so we jumped and warped to 8G. Normally Art of War are in there on their bubble but tonight Goodfellas was in there with 3 Hurricanes, Drake, 3 Frigates. We had an assortment of 14 frigates. Since Cal was trying to pull them closer to the gate, we assigned Tracking Disruptors to each of the Hurricanes.
They knew what we had and they werenGGVt running. Then again since the Hurricane is the Bane of any Frigates existence, I donGGVt blame them. We systematically went after the Canes first. Killing the first, while losing a frig, killing the second while losing another frigate, and by the time we got to the thirdGG*there were so many tracking disruptors that he couldnGGVt hit a dread in siege. We dispatched the last Cane and then the Drake. 4 Kills 2 Losses. Since we were two jumps from home, we dropped off loot and picked up replacement ships.
FINALLY, we made it to Waterbug space, we sat two jumps back so they more than likely didnGGVt know what we had. Cal went in with his Taranis and promptly hawked down a Cyno shipGG*Waterbugs undocked a fleet larger than the one we had just killed, with Scimitar backup, so we decided against it, as they had more Cruisers than we had frigates. As anti-climatic as that was, we at least got the Cyno kill right? Kills 1 Losses 0
Since we had so much fun with 3 B last week we took the three jumps to visit them. Alas they were all either Cloaky or DockyGG*insert sad face icon here. I donGGVt blame them, I think they may have had 5 active which would have been suicide. Too bad, they like to bring it. Without much of a plan on where to go, the next logical step was to head to HED-GP. Cal managed to get a Loki and Sabre isolated in SV5 on the HED gate and we were only 20k away, but he got webbed down to nothing and died on the wrong side of the bubble before we arrived. The Loki and Sabre were too far away and got out. Kills 0 Losses 1
We needed to get Cal a new ship and since Agil was 4 jumps out, we decided to take over the Bubble camp in HED. Due to some AAA lemming pets, we managed to avoid 32 bombs launched at us and kill a Tornado and Drake. They did warp a Discophoon to a perch but we werenGGVt biting. About that time, Cal was back with a new Taranis, so we decided to pack it in and head to KDF. Kills 2 Losses 0
KDF was empty, but we caught wind of a Sniggerdly gang in Doril so we decided to pay them a visit. Before we could even warp to the out gate they jumped out into lowsec effectively halting our pursuit. We got wind of WG in Hemin so we decided to try themGG*although they had WAY too many to take on in the gang we had. We managed to kill a few before effectively wiping our entire fleet. 8 BC/C against 14 Frig = lots of dead frigates. That is ok, we had fun fighting. And to be honest, if our gangs were reversed, I am not sure they would have engaged us. 3 Kills 6 Losses (plus however many EAC had)
Was a productive day.

I had some questions recently about Blop dropping. I have done it but I wouldnGGVt say I am uber at it. A lot of the guys have black ops ships but had never really tried it before so we set up a few practice runs. We didnGGVt hot drop anyone in particular but we did find out a few things that we didnGGVt know prior. About the time we were going to try it on an actual target, the server shat all over itself and dropped half the serverGG*.TWICE.
I sort of made the executive decision to call off any further practices, risking billions on a third server crash is just not smart. We elected to hang out with our buddies and roam in a Cynabal fleet. All and all it went pretty well. The FC was spot on, but some of the scouting was spotty. I guess sometimes people just donGGVt get the big picture. Some of the questions I heard yesterday made me shake my head. Some of those said questions were from my guys.
Nothing horrible, but you could tell that some of the guys just werenGGVt paying enough attention. FC: Warp to the XX gateGG*. Question: Where are we again? We are in XX system. I know that but which gate? next systemGG*rinse repeat. I donGGVt know how our FC didnGGVt go ape **** bonkers ballistic. It was not a complete wipe, we did kill a Occator, and Drake.
I am in dire need of a nap today.

Full Circle
I was doing some CEO things last night, talking to the people who were inquiring about A4D, reviewing some battle summaries, reading the 300 eve mails I receive on a daily basis. (By the way, NO we donGGVt want to join your alliance, and NO we donGGVt want to be blue with you). The main thing on my to do list was to kill something, ANYTHING.
About 9pm EST we decided to invite our EAC buddies on a Frigate roam since we usually have tons of fun with them. It started out rather slow as one of our scouts picked up a WRG gate camp in Hemin on the Utopia gate effectively blocking EACGGVs way. Since our blues were all in assault frigates we knew they would have zero chance against the WRG gang consisting of a Cynabal, 2 Talos, 1 Hurricane, 1 Eris, 3 Frigates, Falcon.
Our plan was simple, since WRG rarely fights if the numbers are not in their favor, we assumed that when their scout in RMOC picked up that we were coming, they would scatter leaving an opening for EAC to zoom through Hemin and join us. Since they were coming in frigates, they only needed a 10 second window to get through Hemin. The four A4D guys put our assault frigates away and jumped into 3 Hurricanes and a Drake(plus the 5 EAC frigates).
Although WRG had a similar amount of firepower, they did as we expected and warped off the Utopia gate. I thought they would simply wait us out and go back to gate camping but they reshipped! They sent bait into K-QWHE with 9 additional Battle Cruisers and Falcon as backup. We then reshipped back into Frigates warped to the CL continuing what we started. I love it when a plan comes together.
We took a trip to visit Waterboard, but they werenGGVt playing, just yapping in local about their awesomeness. We didnGGVt feel like engaging 2 carriers and 3 battleships on a station with 11 frigates so we left them to their Circlejerk Du Soleil. We hadnGGVt been to the far side of Curse for a while so we went looking for missioners but managed only to kill a pod. Since 3B sometimes likes a fight, we decided to pay them a visit, setting waypoint to D87.
While scouting I jumped into the master of disaster, king of awesomeness and leader of Bringers of Death, Kula Kain himself. I pointed his Hurricane and he jumped, avoiding my mighty Wolf of DOOM. Like a good soldier I stayed on my side of the gate just in case he made it back. Unfortunately he died thus thwarting my hope of a Wolf solo killing a Hurricane. The other Bringers of Death in local was in a Imperial Navy Slicer , but I couldnGGVt locate him. Luckily he jumped into our waiting gang and also died. I laughed as someone in gang saidGG*GG%This gate is magic, I love this gateGG%
We moved two jumps and ran in a third bringers of death in a Myrmidon. Lucky for us he landed on the same gate as our gang, he tried to run, but was too slow. Within 30 seconds, we had his Myrmidon and was wearing his corpse as a hood ornament. We had zero traffic after that, we went D87, to HY- to GJO, to KDF, to Litom. Nothing, Nada, Zilch.
And just like when we left. WRG was camping the Hemin gate. EAC jumped into 4 BC effectively scattering the WRG allowing us to get into Hemin en route to K-QWHE. Just like before, WRG reshipped chasing 4 BCGGVs with 10, and as far as I know were blue balled as EAC docked up and went to bed. Op successful.

If you come to Curse looking for a good fight, you might be disappointed.
This isn't Delve.
This isn't Syndicate.
This is Curse, and the denizen's of Curse don't mess around.
They take your ship.
Then they take your pod.
And they don't take American Express.

I am not sure why we are taking out a lot of frigate fleets lately. It is probably CCPGGVs crusade against Macro Miners driving prices so high that I simply donGGVt want to fly around 80 million isk battle cruisers all day. ItGGVs expensive, especially when you are CEO, you are always primary. Haha.
Since I donGGVt have time to play too much with the Euro TZ guys, I decided to take a destroyer gang out. Nothing too large 2 Thrashers, 3 Coercers, 1 Interceptor. Our goal was simple, find something, kill something and try to survive. I decided to take my usual route, but since this was earlier in the day I figured it would be populated differently than normal.
I sent our scout in to GJO and JWZ but the locals didnGGVt feel like rallying up. Usually they can amass a nice sized gang to fight, but only if you give them time. Since these guys are AAA renters I figured it wouldnGGVt be long before someone called daddy. Within about 5 minutes a AAA Jaguar jumped in localGG*warped to the gate we were onGG*about that time local exploded.
Although I wasnGGVt in the system, I gave the simple command. Align to sun, and light his ass up. As expected, the 3 Coercers vaporized the poor guy. As expected, we all warped out without a single loss. For another 5 minutes AAA warped around system, telling stories of their awesomeness, and left. We decided to continue on our journey.
Since we still had two in JWZ, it took a minute to catch up to the rest of the gang. We met up on the out gate just as a Tengu landed. We all jumped around the same time and I managed to get a point on the Tengu and unleashed the fury of my might 280 Howitzers with EMP ammo. BlamGG*there went a third of his shields. By this time, our other Thrasher had him webbed, and the three coercers were lighting him up.
Within 30 seconds the Tengu went down unable to withstand the 1500 DPS coming out of or Destroyers. We decided to head home early this guy was faction fitted. The Loot Gods were good to us.

ItGGVs all in the details.
The day before yesterday I hadnGGVt had time to do anything relating to EVEGG*ok, I read my eve mails, transferred funds, cleaned up the corp. hangar, was bothered by no less than 5 or 6 people inquiring about A4D. When it was time to pvp, it was late and I was ready for bed. No kills for me.
Before I logged on to EVE, I went to class and was teaching some of the finer points about a particular guard pass(Yes, I am a martial arts guy). While performing that pass, there are some details that you pick up through experience. This group of students was simply going through the motions, and not really understanding the point of the exercise.
The guard pass is going from a neutral position, to a superior position. The problem lies that if you try to pass someoneGGVs guard, and they hook your leg, then you are stuck in half guard which sucks because you are stuck wrestling another 5 minutes(wasting precious energy). So when you train the pass, it is just as important to not get in half guard as it is to actually passing the guard.
This translates well to EVE where even in a target poor environment you can get the kill mail. You simply have to do the little things.
TylerJames jumped in his Crow in to the Krysis home system scan down the system. There was nothing but a Cyno Kestrel on scanGG*so I told TylerJames to kill their Cyno. As TylerJames was killing the Kestrel, an Archon jumped in and second Archon undocked. TylerJames killed the Kestrel and warped to the Star having kicked the hornets nest
Time to see if Krysis wanted to play. TylerJames warped his Kestrel back to the station at 100. They then undocked a Flycatcher and a MuninnGG*.SCORE. I had TylerJames warp to the Star again to see if they would follow, then I wanted him to align to the gate where we were sitting. Within 15 seconds the Muninn and Flycatcher landed at the Star just as TylerJames warps to the gate we are sitting on. They took the bait, now time to set the hook.
Another 15 seconds goes by and the Muninn lands 100 off the gate and the Flycatcher lands at 0. The Flycatcher jumped into us and held his cloak. At the same time I ordered TylerJames to tackle the Muninn. 5 Seconds later the Muninn was tackled and we all jumped inGG*2 Tracking Disruptors, and a Kitsune jam and the Muninn was going down
We ignored the Flycatcher getting all DPS on the Muninn. As the Muninn was in deep structure, 2 battle cruisers landed on gateGG*well out of range of us at 100. We scooped the loot, and warped off and rallied up. While jumping through the gate, they had a Hyperion on the other sideGG*We didnGGVt have the DPS to kill him and since we thought he was baitGG*we went home.
In essence it is the little things that got us that kill. TylerJames shooting their Cyno, not directly warping to a gate(looks suspect when you do that), Calling for a tackle before the Flycatcher could give intel about us, Our Crow not wasting time and actually getting the tackle. It is the details that gets you kills, the small things add up. We may not know how to hot drop, but we know how to get kills.

Friday night and as usual, there is nothing happening. My preference of ships is the Vagabond and although I love the shipGG*I donGGVt have one. And due to the goofy arse shite going on in Empire, I probably will not have one any time soon. So, I decided that once again, we would head out on a frigate roam.
Like always, we extended an invitation to our blues and we had a few takers. We ended up with 1 Sabre, 2 Kitsunes, Thrasher, Raptor, Taranis, 2 Daredevils, and a Dramiel. We had enough ECM to fight 3-4 and enough damage to take them down without much fuss. For some reason Friday nights are not overly filled with people playing, . in fact it is down right sparse.
We decided to take a long trip and see what was in Feythabolis. Since I hadnGGVt really been there since I was a noob in Xetic in 2005, I figured it couldnGGVt hurt. There was a big blip on the screen and we were determined to see if we could kill some of that blob. We took an indirect route looking for anything we could findGG*nothing.
About 3 jumps out our scout picked up activity. These people are not used to visitors so we assumed they were determined to get us outGG*the only thing beingGG*we werenGGVt showing our hand. We sent our scout in another 3 jumps to see what he could find. Carriers in complexes, ratters, anomalies. Our goal was not to engage them and have our scout hold onGG*we wanted to make them come to us. And it worked.
By now they wanted to chase out DeltaGGVs Sabre out of system. So a Crow started chasing Delta to us. Since our gate was bubbled our plan was simple. Have them chase Delta into their own bubble, Delta would cloak up, and they would enter their own bubble to decloak himGG*we would jump in and start pointing things.
Unfortunately for delta, he had barely cloaked as the Crow landed on top of him and decloaked him. We were a little slow on the intel so we were too late to jump in and jam the Oracle before we lost our sabre. We were in time to scramble the Oracle and jam him out. About the time we jumped in a Sleipnir landedGG*and Smoker pointed him instantly. Both Kitsunes were easily taking care of the Sleipnir and OracleGG*
The Oracle popped first, then the Sleipnir went down. We looted and managed to stick around to get DeltaGGVs pod out of the bubble safelyGG*they did warp in a Hyperion and two battle cruisersGG*but we were already off grid. Eventually we made it back to the gate without issue. The Hyperion was on the other side of the gate but we warped as we figured it was either bait or a smart bomberGG*either way bad for us.
We took our two kills and went home finding nothing to kill on the way back. I have to admit, I love frigate fleets, their only issue is that they are squishy. The Kitsunes truly make a huge difference in the fleet composition of a fleet. Although Kitsunes are doucheyGG*they are effective. We only lost Delta because he didnGGVt mention he was uncloaked in timeGG*otherwise we could have saved him. Next timeGG*next time.

Seriously though, I think that we're going to see a lot more folks down-shipping to Assault Ships and even T1 Frigates and Cruisers, flying what they can afford to lose with double digit inflation driving ship prices through the roof.
The kills might not be as big, but hopefully they will be plentiful.
Keep up the good work, A4D. Life On The Bubble |
