There are also Caldari agents in the Minmatar and Gallente COSMOS constellations which you might benefit from.

I think they are the ones that are yellow in your overview, as appose to the white deadspace complexes.

Most of the agents are indeed found at the yellow beacons.

This is the best Caldari COSMOS info I've found: http://www.warpedcore.org/cosmos/index.php
And I've gotten 4 different characters to 6+ Caldari standings using Caldari COSMOS. If you have connections/social both to 5, and you know what you're doing, you can do it in about 10-15 hours of work.

Well. I have completed 6 L4 missions, but my Caldari state standing is still 4.5. Only my Caldari navy standing is raised. So i will try to find some cosmos agents. Maybe that will help !.

Hey,
Just curious, since I'm trying to raise my caldari standing as well, are they doable for a char with minus standing?

If you have a minus standing probably need to do with with a corpmate who has positive standings

Normally yes.
You need to have an effective standing higher than -2.0.
It will help if you train Diplomacy, it has the same effect as Connections, but is applied to factions that you have a negitive standing with.
If you have a base standing of -5.0 or less with the Caldari faction, Diplomacy will not be able to raise your effective standings high enough to access Caldari agents directly. You will need to work for one of their allies until your standings are high enough: in order of effectivenes your options are: Amarr Empire, Mordu's Legion Command, Khanid Kingdom, and Ammatar Mandate. If your standings with all five of those factions are too low, there is currently no way for you to regain access to their agents. Originally by: John Hawkstone If you have a minus standing probably need to do with with a corpmate who has positive standings
This will allow you to build corp and agent standings, which is helpful in gaining access to those corps/agents sooner. However, this will not allow you to build faction standings.

Only storyline missions raise faction standing.

Failing regular missions for a corporation of one empire lowers standings with the corporation as well as the empire. This triggers derived standings mechanics thereby raising your standings with all Empires that are enemies of the group you just lost face with. It is tricky, but can raise standings just enough so that you can use a low level agent.
Example: You have decent standings with Gallente and poor standings with Caldari. You want to improve your standings with Caldari, but can not use their agents or any agents of allied empire's corps.
1. Train diplomacy and connections to 4 (I know that is alot, but if you are serious this would be best)
2. Take missions for a Gallente corp with the intention of failing them. i.e. quit the mission. Each failed mission will lower your Gallente faction standing as well as standing with the particular corp. This will be tempered by the connection skill. You will also notice your standings rising with empires that are enemies of Gallente and this will be aided by the diplomacy skill. (good thing you trained them)
3. Rinse and repeat until standings are as low or high as you need to get access a low level agent you want to work for.
In this manner you do not need storylines in order to change your faction standings. This is a very risky strategy, and only suggested as a last resort, but it works.

Last I heard they fixed this and it does NOT work anymore. I remember reading about this in one of the patchnotes end of last year or beginning this year.

Edited by: DukeTheNuke on 02/06/2008 16:24:43 Well. Now i have tried some cosmos agents. And that works well. But it seens, you only raise your standing the first time you use them ( is it possible to get storyline with a cosmos agent ?). Every agent that is caldari, wil help raise your caldari state standing, if it is a storyline.
I have run something like 12 missions + 2 cosmos agents. I went from 4.5 to 5.27. It helps, but still a long way to 7.0.
Thanks all, for your input
