What 3 rigs would you put on it?
I stuck 2 of those repair amount rigs on it but can't decide on the third slot.

Falloff rigs are pretty sweet, if your fit can spare the grid penalty.

Falloff rig + Barrage Ammo But seriously, more people should have some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post. |

expl resist rig? trimark? anotehr amount rig?
I for one use 1 expl rig,1 kin rig and 1 trimark as i have a 1600 plate on and 2 med reppers.
If i would drop the plate i would add a rep amount rig.
So if you have a plate add in the third slot a trimark, else depending on resists add a expl resist rig or another rep amount.

Edited by: Dotard on 19/05/2008 13:30:17 Popular to put 1600 plates. Golly-Gee Walley, what kinda weapons can you fit with that plate sucking up the PG?
As I am looking to make this a 'in-your-face' setup, I really need my 425IIs and the NoS & Nuet combo.
So with that suggestion given previously with the 2 med reps and a plate, seems I can fit what for weapons? EFT here I come.
Seems like the double reppers being suggested that my cap would die a quick death.
But this question is about rigs. Falloff? This would allow me to begin shooting sooner, thus a small amount of added damage as I MWD charge into optimal. Doesn't seem 'worth it'. Also I always thought falloff rigs were more for the ships that fight in falloff, like the Vaga.
I was considering RoF or a damage rig for the guns. But was unsure, that's why I'm here asking. Seems like most concensious here is for somekinda tank enhancer rig.
Survive the Pews little longer in hopes he can't survive mine as long? Or increase the damage of my Pews hoping he cannot withstand it and dies before my cap/armor does.
Decisions decisions decisions.

The way I see it, if you want a tank setup you use 220s, or maybe even 180s, and fit reppers, resistances and plates. Falloff rigs help here as you're going to be slower and therefore not able to get as close as quickly.
If you want 425s you'd probably be better off fitting those, large extenders and a nano fit with some gyrostabs. I actually used a similar setup for a while and it worked pretty well, until a bunch of neut-domis managed to get me

Boosting your engagement range (and increasing damage in far reaches of webrange where you want to be vs blasterboats) is extremely beneficial for a Hurricane.
While you might prefer to fight up close, other people who are faster then you might want to stick outside of your effective range, and this is where falloff rigs kick in; it's so much easier to scare off a nano-HAC that way.
Particularly if you don't use them sucky 425s.
If you have only one gyrostab, then a single rof rig would be very good though, the stacking penality won't kill the effect completely. It really is dependent on your setup.

Edited by: AsfALT on 19/05/2008 14:01:36 Well if you want 425's then you should place at least 2 gyros in lows and then the dmg rig (as it's stacking with the gyros) will add almost nothing.
EDIT: regarding weapons for the "mega tank" => dual 180 and rocket launchers or standard launchers or something small anyway :)) (about 60 pg left)

Has 53,000 eHP without rigs. 71,000 eHP with trimarks. Lots of win.

Not bad, but good luck running the neuts for any amount of time without an injector. I'd rather have Nos if I don't have an injector.
edit: It also has 20,000 eHP less than the plated version :(

And has much more DPS and isn't a brick. It can run the neuts 4+ minutes without MWD, which is plenty of time to say.. kill a setup like yours
Really, both setups have their strong and weak points. Everything is a trade off, though it's hard to deny the pimp cane is just simply pimp.

Interesting. Even with the rest of it, the little stacked resist from the DCII is better than cramming on a repper? Or is it because a repper won't fit after all that...?

I mostly use standard dual-rep ones, particularly for sentry work.
However, for ganking things: 6x220mm AC II 2xHAMs
Mids: 10MN MWD II/web II/distruptor II/ECCM
Lows: 1600mm RT EANM II DC II Gyrostab II / EANM II Gyrostab II Gyrostab II
2x falloff rig

The DCU is probably not there for the resists to it's tank defense layer (and to my knoweldge those resists are not subject to normal stacking rules) but rather to increase the total effective hitpoints of the setup. Granting 60% resists to one's hull dramatically increases the EHP of the ship, and adding resists to your other non tank defense layer is at least some benefit.

for highsec try this: 6 x dual 180mm II 2x rockets/standard launcher II mwd web scram sensor boost 2x 1600 plate suitcase eanm 2x gyros.. note this is for highsec and possible lowsec
0,0 is better of with rep setup
