The first is the Ammatar Slavery Abolition Fund (ASAF) and the second is the Resources for Freedom Fund. NUVOS began these two initiatives as a logical continuance of the Khanid project begun earlier. Both of these projects focus on using resources in those regions to fund the liberation of slaves languishing in Capsuleer slave markets across the systems. The third initiative in generically named to represent like work in the Amarr Empire as a whole and will focus on region by region, system by system. Our part, here at DSTON is to prepare Matriculation Centers in each of the areas targeted by NUVOS. As reported by Ston, the first fruit of this cooperative effort is a new Center in Tanoo. We will not always open new centers of established centers are nearby targeted systems. However, we anticipate, depending on the activity of the funds , that new centers will open.
I celebrate this. Nuvos presents a first fruit of the Resources for Freedom Fund by using local resources from Domain and specifically the Parud constellation to free the following men and women from slavery: "32 hundred" 3200 Arbaz (Parud) "71 hundred" 7100 Penirgman (Parud) "10 hundred" 1000 Khopa (Parud) As soon as one of the pilots from DSTON can meet me in these systems, we will transfer these newly freed people into the care of their Matriculation Program. Liberating slaves wherever, whenever, and however I can. |

Lady Devonshire --
I have in previous postings made statements controversial even among the Amarr, as in my Tibus Heth and Jove threads. Should I have written something heretical, I shall answer to God whether in this life or at the Judgement.
Regarding the Disciples of Ston, however, my posting here has remained within undisputed Amarrian orthodoxy. Do Amarr (and Khanid) have slaves? Yes. Do we stuff them with Vitoc and fit them with slave collars? Yes. Do believe that slaves are saved or redeemed through multi-generational service to God's chosen, the Amarr Empire? Yes. Do so-called "rescues" that short-circuit redemption by prematurely freeing slaves thus endanger the salvation of those prematurely freed? Yes. Does selling rescued slaves back on the market or retaining them in service keep them on the path of redemption and salvation? Yes.
On what basis do you judge me truely terrible? I have saved 113 slaves from death in this life, and kept them on the road to life in the world to come!

Rescue Report: 116.01.13 19:31 Feyvara Kal'vyron 236 Slaves, 40 Elite Slaves rescued
This is by far the largest number of people I have personally seen rescued since joining the patrol efforts of DSTON. This is where the talents of a good crew truly shine. Floating in the pod, I can only observe the med techs and orderlies moving in concert and preparing triage for our return to the center. I am impressed.
On another issue: As a former slave I have some knowledge of Amarrian Orthodoxy. Enough, in fact, to understand the Lady D's condemnation of Nauplius on the basis of Amarrian Orthodoxy. There are theological holes in his words to fly a freighter through, but I am not the authority to correct him. I'll give you a hint, though. It has to do with a capsuleer selling slaves in a capsuleer market. Does that square with Amarrian, reclaiming theology?? Hmm? Four new Centers have been opened in the Parud constellation of the Domain region to accommodate new Matriculants coming in through the Resources for Freedom initiative as reported below:
Reception Report: Ashab CCA 34,120 former slaves (received from NUVOS Resources for Freedom Fund) Reception Report: Penirgman CCT 20,748 former slaves (received from NUVOS Resources for Freedom Fund) Reception Report: Khopa CCT 18,060 former slaves (received from NUVOS Resources for Freedom Fund) Reception Report: Arbaz CCT 27,084 former slaves (received from NUVOS Resources for Freedom Fund)
There is a bit of irony in this situation. When the slaver Nauplius first began posting here on this thread, I thought little of it. We have seen such posts in the past from other slavery oriented people. I forget that Edaine Numenor from NUVOS tends to react differently. He saw the posts and decisively acted in an opposite way. First he liberated one hundred times the numbers re-enslaved by Nauplis. Then, through Resources for Freedom, he went on and added thousands to those numbers, all in the Parud constellation. It is the policy of DSTON to not purchase the freedom of slaves; ours is rescue work. However, we receive into our centers any and all. That is what has happened here.
NUVOS has asked us to prepare to open new centers in other regions as well in anticipation of continued activity.
I think at this time it might be appropriate to explain a common misconception. Many equate the religiously defined slavery of the reclamation with the capsuleer slave trade. This is a serious error. In Amarrian religion, Holders (almost always non-capsuleer) maintain various numbers of slaves in the name of religion. These slaves are held by Holders and only Holders. Quite different is the capsuleer slave market. Millions of human beings are for sale to anyone with the ISK to buy them and for any reason. The reason we do rescue work is because Amarrian, Gallente, Minmatar, Caldari, Khanid, etc capsuleers buy, obtain, steal slaves and attempt to sell them across borders for profit. There is nothing even remotely religious in Nauplis' action of selling slaves on the capsuleer market. In fact it is rather the opposite of reclaiming. Ironic, though it may be, it is far more likely that those who wish to follow the Amarrian religion in our centers will do so than if left in the capsuleer slave markets. (We provide clergy access, albeit liberal as well as any number of religious/spiritual options for those who choose so.)
Strange as it may seem, these 100,012 people would still be in the slave market were it not for Nauplis posting here on this thread. Their freedom was motivated by his posts. I guess that is what I mean by irony. The Disciples of Ston bid you peace |

The Disciples of Ston may be the most vile, most destructive capsuleers of all time. The have purportedly taken tens of thousands of slaves off of the path of redemption and salvation and led them on the road to Damnation apart from God's Chosen, the Amarr Empire. Have even the most famous and controversial Empyreans such as The Mitanni or Shadoo ever done something so wicked?
And in response to my accusers, a note on the SCC slave markets: As any SCC market participant should be aware, the SCC markets are not isolated from, but rather connected to national markets in the matter of slaves and other trade goods. The buy and sell orders that connect the capsuleer markets to national markets are readily identifiable by the predictable size and and duration of the orders. I have in fact always sold my rescued slaves to national market buy orders (one can verify this because I have identified the station at which I sold the rescued slaves upthread; a search of the Domain market will reveal that a national market buy order for slaves exists there). The upshot of all this is that I am not guilty of turning over my rescued slaves to the whims of the Empyrean class, but rather returned them to Amarrian slave markets, where Amarrian law and custom prevails; thus, I am justified in claiming that I have returned my rescued slaves to redemption and salvation.

Rescues continue. A three-deathcan rescue earlier today went better than I could have hoped for. The deathcans were all in transport range of each other and within gate activation range. The rescue proceeded quickly. The real surprise was the 19 slavers by themselves. We have yet to figure these ones out exactly but we have our theories.
Comment: Vitoc and Vitoxin are not the same thing. Let's not confuse them nor use the terms interchangeably. Vitoxin is the infection treated by the psychoactive drug Vitoc. The psychoactive nature of Vitoc is due, as stated, to how it is engineered to interact with the vitoxin infection. It is idiotic to say, "We stuff them full of vitoc." Lets try to speak more coherently about the subject, please.
Those who speak callously about vitoxin as if it is some glorious spiritual tool are to be pitied as perhaps the most lost of humans. As a full cure for vitoxin infection is researched, let's hope a cure for the evil that invented it will also be found. NUVOS has indicated that they intend to extend the mission of Resources for Freedom to non-slave sovereignties including the State, Federation, and Republic, wherever there are slave markets legal or illegal.

It has been quiet at this border the last day. When we get ready to rotate duties, we are also going to have to check up on our planetary operations and make sure out fresh water production and food production are keeping pace with the growth of our centers. Since we have run surplus in the past, this one could easily get away from us if we do not pay attention. He does seem to be a bit deranged. As after all, he might be enslaving fellow amarrians after all. Most slaves the Matriculation project rescues at those bordersystems are illegal slaves, even within Amarr law. A proper Amarr slave wouldn't be exported to non-amarr space, simply because he would have no buisness there, or in the rare case he does, there's temporary legalisation forms for it. From this it can be easely derived that most slaves found at the bordersystems are people who were captured & enslaved by pirate organisations Rogue Drones & derelict sites Gurista Capsuleers Spotted |

We want to pick an area where there is both rescue activity and confiscation work and where the pilot can quickly change over from a rescue vessel when the need arises. It will likely be in the Niarja patrol areas as it sees more traffic than any of our other patrols. Neither Ston, not Tahrmal can yet pilot the Confiscat so I am in no hurry to put her into service.

Because Amarrian Loyalist organizations have accused the Disciples of Ston of theft for having taken slaves out of containers, I have decided to delay Vitoc-stuffing and Slave Collar-fitting until after pilots who jettison slaves have had a chance to respond to the mailing I send each one whose slaves I pickup.
For example, one pilot (whose name I withhold because unlike the Disciples of Ston, I have no desire to discourage slaveholding) replied with the following:
Quote:Thank you for your concern. I should note I was in a rush and the Caldari state does not like slaves. Execution was out since i just had new carpet put in. Henc a trip to the nearest air lock. Unfortunatly the airlock automatically assumes i want that stuff in a container with air in it. Why is beyond me.
This pilot, at least, understands a basic truth that eludes many here on the IGS, even Amarrians: slaves are worth less than a carpet. Treat them as such. Along with the others in the Re-Enslavement report above, his slaves were stuffed full of Vitoc, fitted with replacement slave collars, and sold back into slavery. Amen. Amarr Victor.
