I've never really use drones before, but lately I've developed a fascination for Gallente drone-carriers. I'm not far away from getting a Vexor, and I'd like to mission with it.
So how do you like your Vexor? Any interesting set-ups? Seems like an underrated cruiser, in light of the Thorax.

10MN Afterburner II Stasis Webifier II Cap Recharger II
Small Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Damage Control II
Hammerhead II (or mission specific drones)
(Should Run "most" level 2's)
PVE

2x 200mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon Tractor Beam Drone Link Augmentor Small Remote Armor Repairer
10MN Afterburner II Cap Recharger II Stasis Webifier II
Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Explosive Hardner II (the one that uses no cap) Damage Control II
Hammerhead II (or mission specific drones)
Now I did used to fly a vexor so I know these fits work, but I have done the searching for you, and I'm tired an feeling charitable (you should be very lucky, when i'm tired flames usually burn through my veins and onto what ever thread Im lookin at)...
But take note try each of these setups, win some lose some an maybe then you can mix and match and create a setup that YOU truely like not just the usual cookie cutter.. Try and create your OWN setup, as you get a feeling of accomplishment.. Also if you ever do look for a certain setup, try posting one of your own, so to let people know your trying and then maybe they can get an idea of what your looking for in your fit..
Hope some of this info helped

Is a solid fit, I tend to swap the eanm for a explosive hardener as that seems to be a popular damage for any fight I end up in and also the weakest resist. mix the drones too. 2 heavy/2 mids/1 light for max dps and 5 lights for frigs and nanofags. Also you may want an ab over an mwd depending on where you fight and cap issues. I wouldn't go all gank in a vexor, throax's just do it better.
Also watch the video "fearless vexor" It really a great one.

I love my Vexor. I can fit it with T1/named stuff for under 5 mil and it is still extremely effective for ratting/PvP as long as you pick your fights properly. Train up your drone and cruiser skills a bit and you will have some pretty nasty drone damage in a cheap package.
Lows: 1x EANM 1x 1600mm plate 1x SAR 1x DC
Mids: 1x 10MN MWD 1x Webber 1x Scrambler
Highs: 2x 150mm Dual Rails 3x Small Nos
Antimatter Charges 7x Hammerheads 6x Warriors
Swap the mids for an AB and cap rechargers for PvE.

I came up with a fitting just to annoy a Gall friend...passively shielded ex..sounds odd I know...
Highs: 1 150rail, 1 TB, 1 salvager, and a drone range mod Mids: med shield extender T2, passive em T2, passive thermal T2 (can be swapped by rat) Lows: 3X T2 shield power relays and a DCU T2 Rigs: 1 em and two recharger rigs (T1's)
2660 some odd HP with the lowest resistance around 50% and a recharge of 272 seconds makes for happy ship, well until I try L3's..but then cruisers would not be my first pick for those.
I know..its odd, but it works..and it annoys the Gall pilots I know, which is the whole point. |

Edited by: Dr Clay on 28/04/2008 18:43:18 Because the damage output is equal to a myrmidon battlecruiser now. ;) Well, that's after the bandwidth nerf anyway.
It has room for salvagers, considering that drones do all the damage. You really shouldn't be flying it until tech II hammerheads are on your doorstep mind you. I'm not so good with my armor tanking skills, I'm shield spec'd. On the plus side this gives you room for a webber and scrambler, as well as an afterburner/mwd.
Get your drone skills up, especially interfacing, and watch your little minions tear everything a new hole.
Drones means unlimited ammo.
It's the younger brother of the Ishtar, take pride in this. Get used to it and one day you'll be flying the tech II version which is, frankly, a monster from the deepest pits of hell.

If you ignore the fact a myrm can pack 6x med blasters while keeping a dual rep tank, then yeah.
Only in drone damage are they equal. Both good ships though.

2 Ogre IIs + 2 Hammerhead IIs + Warrior II with Cruiser 5 is the kinda damage I wouldn't scoff at

The plate setups are very good, except you should use 2xEANM(preferably t2). Most of your HP will be in armor, and if you manage your cap correctly you can run the small repper for a good long while in a fight, it won't help if most of your resists are in your small amount of hull. I once solo'd a vexor and a myrm in my plate vexor(cap management was hell, and I nearly made it into hull a few times LOL)
As far as missions go, just some small rails, cap mods etc. I have even used the plated type setups for missions. You are on a timer, but I was able to last long enough to complete a lot of level 3's. Or you can try and fit something like a cap battery(or whatever cap mods make it stable) and a medium rep w/ specific resists.
